this is chump change compared to what it would take to restructure all other collegiate sports so that football heads would get their way. IMO, breaking away would not be some easy peasy process...
Throwing 1 G5 team a bone every year won't be a big deal. It was this year, mostly because the ACC managed to phuck some shite up. We won't get 2 G5 teams again...not that it really matters, because blow outs are going to happen in the playoff regardless (just look at Alabama yesterday)
I don't see this infamous "breakaway" ever truly getting legs...too many unspoken hurdles. And certainly not cause of a G5 team in a playoff...They'll expand the playoff before any break away

This talk of expansion is ridiculous. Has anyone ever took the time to ask the most important people in this discussion, the players? They are getting pounded and beat up for five months. I'm sure their bodies are crying for this madness to stop. Fans sit behind their TVs and the media sit behind their desks either forgetting or not knowing the punishment these players take from the constant pounding week after week. If you can get players to say give us more than I will shut the hell up.

God no. What a horrible idea. Need less teams not more. These haven’t been great games for the most part.

It’s never going back to 8 or 4 so let’s take that option off the table. Might as well go 16, no byes , 1st 2 rounds played on campuses. Not ideal I know.. Btw if you had 8 or 4, the winner last year and possibly this year (Miami) not in
