If you are using official colors, how far apart are the 3 darker reds in the SEC?
TAMU
SC
State
Bama (crimson) and SCAR (garnet) are closer on the scale ... A&M and MSU are closer on the scale, both maroon.

Old age may be making me colorblind
Always think of Garnet as darker based on a pledge pin from back in the old Delta Chi days.

I will get flamed, possibly by my own people, but until the Aggie/Hog game is over I'm not sold on either as the second best team in the conference.
Granted, I'm not sold on anyone else in that spot either. Hell, for that matter I'm a bit leery about the Tide given that Ole Miss came close to blowing them out before they had another Hugh Freeze collapse.
There are some teams in bad shape right now, but I think we are all trying to figure out who the glass slipper fits. Other a handful of teams in major rebuild mode right now the door is still open for most of the conference.
Another great poll Semo. Bless you and the other voters for putting this together.

"Sucks" is probably a strong term. But I think it's fair to say there's not a convincingly complete team that's emerged yet. Every contender has issues.

That's what you took from his post?

Same as every year, just no more 1960's acid trip graph we had in previous years where the first 1/3 of the schedule were all over the place and as the season progressed they found tighter cluster groups where 2-4 competed for the top, maybe the next block competed in that space, and eventually you worked down to the bottom block where 2-4 teams fought for that graph space.
A sad farewell to acid trip graph, we hardly knew ye, may your pixels burn bright in heaven.

Yes without a doubt this was the worst or 2nd worst refereed game I have seen If you recorded the game look at the Referee as the Ole miss player is heading toward Hurts, He turns his head to the right so he could not see the play when the Ole Miss player should have been rejected from the game for targeting, UA had there QB running sideways in the end zone and a LB I don't know who it was grabbed the QB only to be tackled by a OL and it was not called, OM was holding on ever play who ever was blocking he should have caried Tim Williams should have took him out to the steak house for dinner he was held every play, and the interference call on Humphrey was a Joke as well as the push off by OM s WR for a TD, if this game was called half way right UA would have beat Ole Miss By 21. IMO

Same for me. 1-3 is obvious and 11-14 is obvious but the middle is tough right now. Should balance out soon but I agree with this weeks rankings.

Camel Menthol, SEC really down when Aggie and Pigs are 2nd and 3rd in your conference? I can't speak for the Aggies since I am not that familiar with them but Bert is under the radar at the moment poised on the cusp to take another step or two up this season. They just may have fixed their offensive right tackle problems if the most gifted and imposing offensive linemen on the squad has decided to do what it takes to play. Bert doesn't just hand out starting positions unless it is earned no matter how good you are. The move up may come early this season or it may come later as usual. Right now it is a guessing game.

geezuz - Ole Miss, LSU, GA, AU should all be ranked higher than Tennessee.

you, Vols & Shaft & all the other TN fans that are poor mouthing; it won't be enough
Y'all can act humble and be gracious all you want, but you won't mitigate the dumpster fire that was the UT fan base this off-season...

Pretty bad rankings... But it doesn't matter as they will completely change after this weekend.

The commentary is meant to be the light-hearted part of the rankings. Several of the comments are a little humorous. The rankings themselves are solid, IMO.
