I know Bama is that good, but good God, is Ark THAT bad? I know what losses like that feel like with no hope in sight. I sat thru that shite with LSU in the 90's.

Just saying that when Saban does let up, like the Texas national championship game, everyone says that they were coming back and could have beat us.

Would it be defensible if some 3rd team OL whiffs and your blitzer had a free run at a 3rd team QB and blew him up? Is a 52-0 shutout worth that? Just play your base team defense and let the clock run is not part of the process?

If it's 3rd team vs 3rd team...why would it matter? Those 3rd team guys wanna get in and get stats too...I know its shocking to you...but yeah.

Look I respect that completely. And I have utmost respect for your program and your coach. My point is there is a bigger picture here than a football game. It is JV vs JV at that point, no need for that kind of play.
And I realize this is the same argument as stealing bases up 10 runs. Play the game, stop us, etc. But football is unique in that somebody can get seriously hurt for no good reason

Now that I think about it you're right. I'll even go so far as to say that Arkansas shouldn't have even showed up today; they clearly were not prepared to play Alabama and somebody could have gotten hurt.
