I'd take LSU's alumni base over UGA's too tbh
Is that because you live in Louisiana or is there some other reason why LSU would have a better alumni base than UGA?
If we're taking location out of it (which obviously is very important), every publication I'm aware of disagrees with you.

Could not argue with any of that Lucius.

Where, exactly, are you right now, BTW? No reason, just curious.

I'm just referring to the ones posted here a lot (U.S. News, Forbes, etc.). I understand they aren't perfect, but I guess I'm asking what is it about LSU that makes its alumni network so far surpass these admittedly flawed rankings?
There may be a ranking out there that attempts to categorize alumni networks. I haven't seen one yet.

It's a simple eye test... do you have an Aggie Ring on your finger?

When they hand out the Aggie rings do they also hand out the paperwork detailing how U.S. News has some deep held vendetta against A&M? Because that seems to come up at warp speed every time this thread appears.

I don't think they have a vendetta against us, I just think they have a bias against schools that don't offer everything. A&M got rid of its journalism program, which hurt it in the rankings(I think that stuck in some people's craw because we eliminated one of our weakest departments it should help our rankings). Say for instance A&M's petroleum engineering program is ranked number one in the world(more often than not it is, I would know I graduated from it), but Georgia gets ranked higher, even with dumber students in lesser programs, but simply more options makes them eligible for more rankings points or something.

Comparatively, Florida and Georgia are ambiguous and almost byzantine with the way the weigh things. Georgia's requirements say GPA counts way more than test scores more than likely.
Not sure about UF but I don't think anyone could find out exactly what UGA uses in some of its admissions. Test scores ARE important but only if you're from the northern arc suburbs or from a pvt school in Atlanta.UGA is big on "geographic diversity" and while they won't admit to it,there
is a quota system set up for these kids.

Well, gee, then you should eliminate everything but your gas program and then pretend you're MIT/Harvard all rolled into one!
But .... welcome to reality. Where you are behind Georgia.

would not come into play in their ranking FWIW, unless it was propping you up in retention rate, faculty, etc...

Nuclear Engineering is ranked pretty high too, top 3 I think. Jimmy Carter probably would have flunked out(and he passed at the better school in Georgia), for what it's worth.

Geez, you really do know everything. Even how a horrible ex-Prez would have done had he attended A&M a few decades ago as opposed to the pi**-poor school he did attend.
You sir, are a wizard.
