anyone really shocked that followed their recruitment? its one thing to switch after committing, its another to lead a school on till the last minute. what kind of parent allows their kid to be manipulated that way?

Sorry to hear this, no matter what team they play for. It saddens me to see young men, who have the wonderful opportunity to get a college degree and maybe even have a lucrative NFL career throw it all away by making such unbelievably stupid decisions. They blew it all over a three way split of $50. Truly sad. Prayers for these young men that this is not the beginning of wasted lives for them, that they learn from their terrible mistakes and get themselves turned around in the future.

Seriously though, that is bad. How stupid do you have to be to: 1) Commit armed robbery for $50 (that you are splitting 3 ways)?
2) Do it in a place where you are one of the most recognized people in town.
Not trying to pile on, but honestly it sounds (on the face of it) like what you see in the inner city when someone (or a group of someones) is jonesing for some drugs and needs a quick score. Are football players screened for recreational drugs, and if so how often?

Isn't Nu' Richardson the recruit that Kiffin said he was going to turn Urban in for violating recruiting rules (text messages) "but still couldn't get him"?
