My youngest son is the one that gave me the jersey to wear to games. I didn't wear it to a game last year and he called me on it. He said it is easier to see where we were sitting if I wore it.

I love watching him play any sport. He had offers to go to smaller colleges and they would have picked up most of the tuition but he chose to get an engineering degree and walk on to the Mizzou football team. I applaud his tenacity and drive. He and his older brother have made me very proud and they have both put up with all the BS that goes along with being a walk-on in a Division 1 program.

Well, by all means, wear it proudly if you aren't embarrassing him.

I usually wear one of the coaches polos and jeans or shorts with tennis shoes. when i think of the frats, i think of a button up and jacket type thing. there's no way i'm going to wear that.

You're thinking of it wrong then. For the 10,000,000th time, it is only the fraternity pledges that wear coat and tie to games and not because they want to. The actives don't dress up like this (though they do dress business casualor nice jeans and collared shirt). The pledges have to dress this way so that they stand out when marking a certain fraternity section and so they can be identified as pledges when an active needs to track one of them down to send on an errand to get drink/food from the concessions.

Good for him, and congratulations to you. Nothing at all wrong with wearing your own kid's jersey. I hope he gets some playing time next season.

I bet your son wishes you would just wear a nice Mizzou golf shirt. I mean no harm but I wouldn't want my parents wearing jerseys. Ask him.

So do you lose it on a daily basis when you go into work and see others dressed well?? OMG THE HILARITY!!!

Who said anything about people being dressed well? I was talking about Ole Miss people on game day in Oxford. People dressing well don't seem at all strange to me. The clown parade at Oxford, however, is funny to watch.

Football season can't get here fast enough if we have to resort to talking men's fashion because there is nothing else to talk about.

Is there going to be some sort of movement to conform to the style of other SEC schools? Or are y'all going to continue to look like white trash?

Ms State has voted for them to stay that way.......

He's been commenting on threads by critiquing the tightness of the threads "butthole." Seems rather gay, IMO.
