No they don’t line up, but that is not what people are looking at. What they are looking at is the actual marker right behind the ref….that he looks back at then proceeds to shift his spot of the ball.
It was obvious watching it on live TV. He didn’t review to make sure he had the spot right or anything, he just arbitrarily moved it so the ball was placed at the first down marker.

Alabama had 2 TDs called back against USF and 2 TDs called back against Texas. In the history of college football I doubt any other team has had 4 total TDs called back in back to back games.

Setting aside the REC/referee banter, I am a little unsettled by seeing Bama look ordinary and beatable. It has been a long, long time.
