Look, the Nickname of Ole Miss is in tribute / honor of the 11thMS Regiment that fought in the Civil War which was largely composed of the students at Ole Miss. So many in fact the University was shut down. They were Americans who fought and died for their country / rights. They ( and only ) broke the Union line at Picketts Charge at Gettysburg. And whats all the BS about Mississippi for. You got LSU, North Carolina, Arkansas who have the same type of references to the Civil War but its only us who catches BS from you dimwits.

You're pretty spot on. Creole ( mostly NO ) uses Tomatoes in their Gumbo or for that matter everything else because of the Spanish influence that was there. Cajuns dont use Tomatoes NEARLY as much ( which is what I prefer ). But you will find exceptions.

Been watching some games with MS State QB from 1980-1983 & the team as a whole. I really liked that QB guy far more than in any other in state history. A Georgia boy who came to State to play and with two guys I went to school with, Kent Hull & Maury Hull. Kent Hull who went on to the big time with the Buffalo Bills during their AFC reign champions but never winning the Super Bowl. I'm Ole Miss through & through but I still like MS State. Would like to think the two would combine and make Mizippi much more relevant as this state is just way over-matched in relation to population to have 3 major Colleges.
