If you remember, this board was rootin' and tootin' about him during his inital press conference before LSU fans even had the chance to form an opinion on him.
It isnt that deep. They just don't like that he's a "damn yankee". These Foghorn Leghorn mf'ers are very sensitive when it comes to people from up north. Generations-worth of shame and embarassment at getting annihilated during the civil war are the driving force behind this.
Watch for stolenvalordalton to bring up William Tecumseh Sherman again to prove my point.

Disliking Brian Kelly has nothing to do with him being a damned Yankee. Brian Kelly is just an unlikeable son of a bitch who doesn’t win enough games for people to gloss over that.
What is your favorite Brian Kelly memory? His fake accent? Throwing his players under the bus? Pounding tables? Platform shoes? His three game losing streak last season? His 0-3 record in season openers? Going 4-8 against ranked teams at LSU? Giving up 42 points to Alabama 2 seasons in a row? Averaging over three losses per season at LSU?
There is so much to choose from I probably left a few out. Maybe others can offer their favorite Brian Kelly memories.

My point exactly, you're talking all this smack about BK but he's won more games at LSU than your guy has won at Bama.
He's won more games than any of your coaches, unless you're a Georgia fan.

These pages go on forever cause the LSU people will never let something die out. They got infinite time on their hands cause they are all unemployed or are very lonely individuals waiting for the bar to open for the night

In BK's worst year at LSU, he had the same record as the current Bama coach yet Bama posters have whined incessantly about BK since day one.

Well I dont really like either one. But its more embarrassing for Brian Kelly to go 8-4 in year 3 then Kalen Debeor to go 9-3 in year 1.
Also, DeBeors record of 9-3 was because of upsets by Vandy and a terrible Oklahoma team, which, as painful as it is to say, are kind of fluke losses for any coach. Brian Kelly went 8-4 because he got gifted the South Carolina game and should've lost to Ole Miss. Feels like Debeor went 9-3 because of upsets, which are easier to cut out in the future, while Brian Kelly went 8-4 with no big wins and some very very lucky wins that they shouldn't have gotten. Biran Kelly should have beaten Bama this last year and there is really no excuse in year 3, especially at home.
9-3 > 8-4 if you take bowl games out the picture

I don’t really care that much. Both feel extremely overrated to me lol. I’d actually be willing to bet that Josh Heupel is the only coach in the country with a winning record against both (I might be wrong). That’s all I care about

What is it about BK that causes people like you to bash him when he does the same or better than what your own coach is doing?

Yeah I haven’t bashed BK once. I just think Kalen Debeor had a better year last year than he did. They are both overrated

Ah, yes, the tired argument of all close wins for Brian Kelly being luck (but skill for other coaches) and all losses being blamed on Kelly but losses being excused away as fluky for other coaches.
DeBoer was also lucky to get out of the UGA, USCe, and Auburn games with wins.
