This is why they will never join a conference that has 4 or 5 top teams. Because they lose two games to top competition then they play an average schedule the rest of the way and make the playoff. Only ND could pull this off.

They will probably win out from here with what would seem like an easy schedule, but their resume should not warrant a playoff birth. What say you?

It will take at least one more loss to impact them from host consideration for a first round playoff game.

Notre Dame is still a good team. If they win ten games in a row, they will have EARNED a spot in the playoff. Most likely that will not happen. Why do so many on here impugn them constantly?
Last night was a great game. Give A&M some credit for winning on the road against a good team. And MIA, who I can’t stand is a really good team this year as well. Credit to them for a good win against the Irish.

Before the season I made a bet with a friend that ND would not make the playoffs.

My friend reasoned that even with 2 or 3 losses ND would get preferential treatment and get in.

I said they would lose their first two games and then pick up one more loss to get edged out of the playoffs; needless to say I am a big Arkansas fan when they play ND.

If ND had won last night they would have a playoff spot on lock down. Now they need help to make playoff even if they win out.
