Actually I think you’re exactly in the same place with more injuries in the offseason. Your DL and OL would be weaker in post season play with a few injuries. Or if Bond were injured. Or Blue.
It’s not the wins and losses so much as the attrition. Georgia had missing pieces. Texas didn’t.

Nah. Frick it. Texas is still in. It doesn’t matter why or how. But GA, frick them.

Even a natty won’t erase the stain Sandusky left you with.

UGA had a good enough defense to keep them in many games this year but the offense just never clicked
We both have this common theme.

And this is why we say Texas had an easy schedule.
Relative point.
Notre Dame had an easy schedule. And yet here they are, beating Georgia.

I think the big difference is UGA's offensive issues are easy to understand. They're bad at the skill positions and iffy on the OL. QB really struggled with pass rush to his face.
Texas has all the constituent parts to be elite on offense but they just aren't. The great thing for Texas is they caught a "get right" bracket and have stayed alive...perhaps figuring out some things about their offense along the way. They really only need one great game on offense more than likely in their next matchup. I don't know how they can win that game without scoring 30 or more in regulation because I don't think Ohio State is going to have another bed shitting like they did against Michigan.

So they got a bye week before this game but were just worn out for this game?
How about next time we just give them a month off before playing the game so they can be more rested

We do know this - Ohio St is capable of bed-shitting. Not likely to happen, but we know it exists.
We know Texas is capable of 15 minutes of dominance - just not 60 minutes. We have seen Texas appear as if they will run away with games, and suddenly shut down.
If Ohio St can have a semi-bedshit, and Texas can put together at least 3 quarters - you've got a game.

A week off doesn't heal you from a car wreck.

but we see what the effin grind is doing to our teams in the post-season.
You think this was a grind? Just wait until you play through a good SEC year and don’t have an SEC-lite schedule.

I agree.
Lots of respect for the results Georgia posted this year with the toughest schedule in the country, and their team kept fighting hard even after losing their starting QB.

Agree 100%. I don’t know what our problem is but we will find out next year if it was ewers or sark. I find it a little concerning that our best unit is the one that Sark doesn't interfere with. Hopefully that's just a coincidence

You don't read good. I was talking about Georgia, and they played a fairly rough SEC schedule.

Sark is an OC. Think about the times when we've been burned on fake punts and stuff like that. An HC is covering all the bases - Sark is already assuming that we go back on offense and looking at his play sheet.
Then they burn us and get the first.

You have the strongest NIL ref program in the SEC, just ask the Sun Devils or any UGA fan hit by a water bottle.

I read fine and knew you were talking about UGA. That doesn't change the fact that this was a down year for the SEC.
As for the SEC-lite schedule comment, that was meant for you as a Texas fan and someone who is new to the SEC. I can infer that at least part of your opinion comes from your first year through the SEC schedule. It is a grind, but it gets much worse than you witnessed this year.

Texas was penalized 4 times more yardage than the Sun Devils.
Urban legend is playing out.
