No, you don't fire a guy 2 years removed from a national championship.. You give him1 more year. If the team appears to still be on a downward spiril, can him, but if he can get this team back on the right track, and improve then you keep him...

Fans are retarded.. One losing season does not merit losing your job

No, most of the best players were young. The Secondary is strong and there is some depth at the DL. LBs need to be developed. If Gus hires TRob as the DC, he will be the first black Coordinator at either AU or UA, so recruiting will be fine. Gus has proven he doesn't need a great D to be successful, just a better than average QB.
You don't think that the rest of the league has caught up the Gus's offense? I know in 2014 Georgia was the only team to stop the offense and Mississippi State slowed it down, but other coaches have figured it out I believe. Saban changed his recruiting philosophy to better adapt to these types of offenses. When the offense is the same and the defense is evolving the defense will win out.

No, the only thing that caught up to Gus's Offense was poor QB play. Look at what Ole Miss did to Bama's D while essentially running the same Offense minus a running game. The key to success in College Football is a competent QB. You also saw how TN did against teams by having the QB able to run and pass. MSU couldn't do it with just Dak, but he almost carried the team single handedly.

5 turnovers helped out a good bit. Bama destroyed Mississippi State and they are very similar.

They didn't score a lot on good defenses.

Dak had two very good receivers. Last year they had a better defense and a run game, but still.

The HUNH and Spread offenses are not leaps and bounds a head of defenses especially in the SEC.

If Gus loses to Vanderbilt...has close wins to Arkansas State. .ULM. .Alabama State. He is gone. Any other SEC win will be a miracle.

Nearly 500 yards on a short field. Those 5 T/Os kept the total yardage down for Ole Miss. Everyone forgets that Bama had to recover an OSK just to make it look close, prior to that OM went into a shell.

Nobody is running the HUNH this year with competent QB. This is the worse year for QBs in the SEC, in the last 30 years.

If he has close wins against Arky State and ULM, most likely he loses all the SEC games and Clemson. By the time they get to Vandy they would be 2-6. With Georgia and Bama still waiting. I think he would be fired by then being that they could get a earlier start on getting the next coach.

Yea, but Florida stop their asses cold. They need to get turnovers when they play elite defenses.

SEC has had far worse qbs across the board previous to this year.

Have you ever watched your qb throw a pass backwards for 18 yards?

That and its not the losing season, its that Auburn is getting progressively worse as a program each year.

Not true. Gus has red zone issues. We moved the ball, but bogged down in the RZ. Same issue Freeze has at OM.

true. Not enough space to spread the d out the closer you get to the goal line.
