Good job on the misinterpretation and purposely take a narrow view.
He accepted a massive contract. A lot of attention and pressure comes with that even without all the drama.
Throw in the timing. It doesn't matter the reason, the timing didn't look good.
Then the big drama about not being allowed to coach UM in the CFP.
All these things make this match up way more impactful for Kiffin.

Ultimately what matters is that Lane Kiffin is afforded more leash with his contract than Golding, that is not disputable. Everything else is less significant

I don’t really agree. Not saying he’s not under pressure, but of Ole Miss wins, it really means nothing long term for Lane and LSU.
But if LSU wins. And good grief if they win big, it will be devastating for Golding and Ole Miss.
Whether Ole Miss admits ir or not, this is the last year for a while they have a realistic shot at being competitive for a playoff spot. And this game is critical for them.
Lose and the program’s psyche goes down the toilet and they end up with 4-5 losses.

In that case...Lane Kiffin will have LSU ready and they will beat Ole Miss. No way Lane loses to Ole Miss. He will win every game he coaches against Ole Miss. Lane will also win every recruiting battle between LSU and Ole Miss. Lane will win 2+ games every year during his time at LSU.

Lane doesn't care.
If he loses, he's just going to try and kill you next time.
He has set out to build a monster program. You can't do what he's trying to do in one offseason. Everything you guys are worried about hasn't even really begun. This is a B+ roster LSU has relative to what's coming.
The pressure is on Ole Miss for one really simple reason. Ole Miss fans view this as their best chance to beat Lane. And, beating Lane is EVERYTHING to them because they are emotional about him leaving.
Kiffin is worried about his future. He's not thinking about Ole Miss.

Kind of. It's part of a very detailed plan for how this program is going to run.
They put the best possible roster together you can in a single offseason. But, that's nothing compared to what can be done over 3-4 offseasons.
