much of the angst directed at pearl is a bit misguided, imo ... he's not a cheat ... yes, he lied to the ncaa about a recruit being somewhere he wasn't allowed, but every single sec fan i know looks at the ncca as an inept, almost corrupt institution ... he is a bit of a rat, but that's not exactly new in the world of bball recruiting ...
