Heh, State got "last in" for the NIT. 4 seed.

All games neutral sites, though, so State has as good of a chance as any.

I also remember when this was a well respected tournament. Good games are great to watch whatever the tournament.
Eta I remember going crazy on the buzzer beater but couldn't remember who it was. Thanks

Doug Layton was Forney's color guy on football broadcasts, but he was Bama's play by play guy for basketball, and he was a helluva lot better than Forney. I remember his call, and also his announcing of the spanking we gave Minnesota the next game.

Well the CBI field is already out too:

Army
Bellarmine
Bowling Green
Bryant
Coastal Carolina
Longwood
Pepperdine
Stetson

Don't know about the CIT, but no self-respecting SEC team should ever accept an invite to any post-season tournament lower than the NIT.

Edit: The CIT was canceled, and it's made up of exclusively mid-majors anyway:

CIT Canceled for 2021

Ole Miss squanders a 10 point lead and loses to Louisiana Tech though in fairness I think they were missing some key players. La. Tech has a good team this year.

State with a big win over Saint Louis (they were a quality team). Good confidence boost for this young State team but can we develop some consistency and string 2-3-4 good games in a row. Next up is Richmond on Thursday. If (granted it is a big IF) we can have a strong NIT showing, this team with basically everybody coming back could be poised to have a great season next year.

We will see. Go Dawgs!!!
