He's a redshirt freshman who played in 5 games last year and started one. He's had more than enough game reps and time in the program to show little to no improvement by the end of year 2

What is bizaar is not Nico's mediocrity, it is the can of goods that Tennessee fans tried to sell about Heupel's offense, saying it was so dynamic that it cannot be gameplanned against.

Bluechip ratio matters and you are sitting at 46%. I think Tenner fans need to lower their expectations until that changes by at least 20 points or so on the positive.

Congrats. In 11 career games against major conference opponents he's topped 200 yards passing... three times.
292 vs UK this year (4-8 team)
247 vs Vandy this year (6-6 team)

He did have 314 vs UTC.... but then 173 vs Kent State and 209 vs UTEP.
He simply isn't a good passer.
Yes, Tennessee won some games... but they did that because of their running back play and defense. Their passing game was garbage.

Yeah your defense pitched a shutout. You also had a pick 6 and 200 rushing yards from your running backs. We’re not talking about whether Tennessee had a good game as a whole. Nico was a game manager in a blowout is the takeaway most got out of that game
