Great speech, but I didn’t need that to know he’s the GOAT.

I personally don’t mind him mentioning LSU. LSU is part of his story.

Dude looks 10 years younger, fit and happy as hell. What a leader and ambassador for college athletics and life in general. Any hater who still peddles the bullshite that he’s a cheater, narcissist and only cares about himself can KMA. So proud to be an Alabama for all my 59 years.

That wasn't a "shot" at LSU fans but certainly wasn't complimentary. Good to see 2 Bama greats introduce him.
It just shows you dont know LSU fans or anything about Tiger Stadium; it was 100% a complement to LSU fans

Saban has pretty much said that before. Just more like: Recruiting in CFB gives one an edge. There's too much parity in the NFL to gain a edge.

Yes. Very hard.

What is Belichick’s record as an NFL head coach without Brady as his QB? What is Reid’s record without McNabb or Mahomes as his QB? What is Walsh’ record without Montana or Steve Young as his QB?

The answer is bad. In some cases 2-14 in back to back seasons bad.

The reason Saban left Miami was the Dolphin’s QB situation. Miami needed a QB and Saban wanted Drew Brees. The organization wouldn’t clear Brees medically because of his shoulder and instead signed a well past his prime Dante Culpepper. We see what each did with the rest of their careers. Brees was the right choice but Saban got overruled. The lack of a QB is why he was a .500 coach. And the lack of control is why he left the NFL.

As an Alabama fan I am thankful the Dolphins wouldn’t sign Drew Brees.

Nick has never ever said something complementary about an opposing program he didn't really mean. He probably really 100% believed each of those FCS teams he played were actually very good programs like he said.

If Saban is the GOAT then it is because he coached at the last football and factory in America. At UAT Saban had an unlimited and unsurpassed budget for overall payroll, NIL, recruiting, gold-plated facilities and most importantly no pushback from the admissions office or the Bama administration. Bama football is only very vaguely associated with the University of Alabama and for all intents and purposes it is a totally autonomous organization. So beware and be forewarned that the drive-thru window guy at McDonald's could win 9-10 games every year at Bama.
