quote:That's college football. Is LSU the only team this year with seniors? LSU has recruited to replace those players. Just because you don't know who will be next bluechip player to step in and carry the load doesn't mean we don't have them. We lost 4 first round draft choices in 2006 along with another 4-5 NFL draft picks and won the SEC and BCS in 2007.
LaFell - Tolliver, Randel, Clairborne
Scott - Ford, Ridley
Holliday - Shepard, Calhoun
Williams - Murphy
Dickson - Peterson
Coleman -Mingo
McCray - Loston, Hatcher, Bryant
Riley -Minter
Hitt - Spencer, Blackwell
Black -Barksdale
Alem -Montgomery
Woods -Davenport
Alexander - Downs, Edwards
Mitchell- Molton

You do not lose that many key players on offense and defense and win the NC the next year.
a few yeah sure but each one of those players are key for LSU and their success that past few seasons.
In 2006 LSU lost
Russell
Vincent
Bowe
Daniels
Landry
Davis
Pittman
Zinger
Dyakowski
K Gordon
D Francis
C Jackson
They actually lose more in 2005 of players who were starters or saw meaningful playing time.

Not to mention you are forgetting the schedule in 10 that include Souther Miss, West Virginia, and possible North Carolina. That is on top of SEC Schedule.

Well no shite retard but that is the quote that I was discussing with someone else that you decided to jump into the conversation.

Whatever asshat.... You said we were screwed. What does that mean you fricking moron. If we win the west next year, is that a screwed season? fricking idiot. Having 5 consecutive top 10 recruiting classes including 2-3 in the top 5 does not = screwed. Get it!
Are you that dense, gump? Run home Forest.

I am just doing since BCS was introduced, seems more appropriate. You really are stupid I believe
Seriously?
It showed with that wonderful 8-5 record last season
Yes in reference to someone else but unfortunately you cannot comprehend that and wanted to but in with your 2 cents worth. Really though you have no proved anything considering you mention only recruiting classes. So I guess since Bama has had 3 good recruiting classes those players are better than what LSU has? You know since the recruiting classes mean so much to you.

This is why Bama fans are totally obnoxious and unreasonable... I went to bed
LSU went 8-5 because we played a true freshman QB and and Les made a mistake at (co) D-coordinator.
does this mean that LSU is slipping or not any good? No, These are legit reasons to struggle. Not an excuse, just the facts.
When you look at OU, Texas, OSU, UF, OLe Miss, and the like a lot of these teams if not all will lose thier star QB after this year.. draft or senior etc...
Meanwhile LSU in 2010 and 2011, their QB situation will be very good those years, and our recruiting classes will be maturing and playing significant time/contribution etc..
and our home/road games swap..which looks favorable for LSU... That is all I am saying..
This year could be very good for LSU. Just trying to be reasonable...a tough road ahead
If JJ plays at a high level, LSU will be dangerous this year...

I really don't know of any LSU fans that believe Saban cannot win at Bama. I think you get that impression from the LSU fans reaction to what is perceived as many Bama fans assuming it is a foregone conclusion that all future SEC titles and multiple NC's are now Bamas and that LSU and all other SEC teams are now beneath Bama. Add to that the multiple slurs about Les Miles coming mostly from Bama fans makes many of us defensive. FWIW, i believe (and i think most LSU fans do to) that Bama is back "in the hunt". All extremes aside (called being realistic), Bama will probably win their share of games in the foreseeable future and so will LSU. We (LSU fans) know that Saban does not walk on water and many posts take jabs at Bama fans that insist he does. He is a damn good coach. Unlike some LSU fans, I wish ya'll the best when not playing us. I think an LSU vs. Bama SEC West showdown is very attractive.
