Well, I disagree.. did you see any of our games? Did you see the Defense?

Yes poor defense, poor QB play, poor return game, poor tackling and yet finished 8-5 because of coaching.

LSU has more HS all Americans than it ever has ever had..

That doesn't matter in college, what they did in High School means nothing. If not a few of those 5* players would be starting over the lesser star players.

Our Defense was awful due to poor coaching. That's on Les!

He hired the guys but did not coach the defense

BTW: ESPN has wasted no time declaring Jr BAMA QB Mcelroy the 2nd coming... He has had how many starts? Matt Flynn never got that kind of pup, and he was a 5th year senior with some starts

Matt Flynn did not have as much potential as McElroy. He was/is a great player and probably one of the best QB's in LSU history based on his 1 season. Yet he does not have the big arm, the intangibles etc if he had he would have been well drafted higher. Potential plays a large part in why certain players get hyped and ESPN believes McElroy can have a good season. Time will tell if they are right or wrong, but ESPN has also been saying great things about Jefferson just not hyping him same way.

My only beef is LSU fans believe Saban can not win at Bama

Not one LSU fan that I know that has any common sense believes this... We know how great Nick is... These are delusional LSU fans if they think that..wishful thinking.. Bama will and is be a force already

What that said, Nick has his own flaws. When you take your goggles off one day, you will see the imperfections.. But when he is winning, he is like a king.. I suppose Urban and PC experience this everyday..

Most LSU fans see the SEC as very tough..A lot can happen. It keeps getting tougher ever year..Look at all the coaches...it's amazing. So Nick is not going to just run over everyone like Bama fans seem to think. Bama doesn't play UF every year like LSU does, that is a decided advantage IMHO..Clearly they are king in the East.

Most LSU fans recongize that Saban is a better football coach than Miles. but that doesn't mean that Miles style of leadership isn't capable of winning championships and being at least as good a recruiter if not better than Saban was at LSU.

I just said I think last season was Les Miles best season of coaching. Nothing discredits anything he has done.

Read the SEC Rant every day and many LSU fans believe he will not win a NC at Bama. Yet LSU fans believe they should challenge for NC each and every year. Even when you yourself state that

Was this an advantage when UT was at its height and they were considered the best in East?

We never know after Tebow Florida could go in drain and Kiffin could have UT back dominating. Then who would have an advantage? Thats what makes SEC Football fun, just cause you are on top now you wont stay there. Some team will come and challenge you.

Correct, it's about player development

But the bottom line is, LSU has players just like we did when the mighty Saban recruited to LSU...

On one hand a few Bama fans give some credit to Miles coaching (won big), and then in the same breath take it all away saying LSU is on it's way down because of Miles, amazing

LSU has the players but many many of those players have yet to live up to their potential.

When was UT considered the king of the east. NEVER. Since the SEC has gone to division format, UF has been the dominant program in the east and have been our permanent opponent.

What you fail to recognize is that LSU is a new cog in the wheel in the West and will be every year for the foreseeable future..

For a while it was UT and Alabama...but correct me if I am wrong but Florida has won the SEC about 8 times in the last 20 years! So this UT dominating crap is crap. You think Kid Kiffin is any match for Urban...just look at the recruiting advantage..

Probably the reason LSU fans don't think Saban will win a MNC at Bama is because the SEC West has LSU and Bama as the two big dogs...when Saban was at LSU it was LSU and Auburn...LSU won their share against TT...but UF was down a bit, so was UT...actually UGA was the team during the Saban era...

Like I said, the SEC changes..

I do think UT will give Bama some fits, not like UF fits

I think this is a big year for Miles...He needs to keep us at a high level.. 9-3 this year would be solid given our schedule

We have enough talent to win 11

He was there for 3 seasons!

The years Saban won at LSU

Starting to figure some of this out now? It's a tough road!

Urban has won 2 or 3 SEC's and SS won 6 in the 90's

Well lets look at SEC West... Considering UT, UGA, and Florida have all won it.

UT- 1998,2001,2004,2007
UGA- 2002, 2003,2005
Florida- 1999, 2000,2006,2008

Florida has not exactly dominated almost pretty even split

He was there for all of three seasons and UGA was on top. Guess who we played during those years as our rotating opponent? Not to mention UF has never fallen on hard times like UT with multiple losing seasons since division play. They were still stocked with talent and a dangerous winning team.

well I was referring a 20 year track...since bama fans like to look at history....you can add 6 more SEC titles for UF.

UT achieved the East crown, I think they only won one SEC title, in 1998. The year they won it all.

Bottom line, who would you rather play every year UF or UT? Think about this, on most years, you will have to beat UF in the SECCG game Two games a year...tall order

At LSU, we like to look at it is , they have to play us ...

The next 3 years LSU will be very very good.. 2010 is going to be a year for us to make a legit title run. Our QB, schedule and what other teams lose seem ripe
