No he cannot, he burned that bridge. Les Miles would be a more successful NFL coach than Saban. Saban is to big an a-hole and authoritarian to succeed in the NFL.

Saban isn't going to beat anyone on a level playing field. Even now good on the field coaches with 4*s can beat him with all his 5*s.

Big dogs like Lovie Smith? How's that NFL COTY award working for him these days?

He could one day be successful in both college and NFL like Pete Carrol. Saban couldn’t hang with the big dogs. There isn’t a CFB playoff committee in the pros.

OP makes some solid points but I would add

Saban's days of NCs are over. He has proven he is average against good teams and in order to win a NC now he has to play 2 good teams. It's why he's 33% in the playoffs and likely 25% after this year.

Because he knows he's a shitty Xs and Os coach and with players being equal he would get his arse handed to him again. Smart man to stay put where he can cheat his way to getting the best players and make millions doing it. Why risk being exposed as a fraud when you are one?

And Auburn blew Bama out of the stadium. Cake walked right through that soft arse defense and shut down that pathetic offense.
