STFU, Nick. It happens. What everyone sent in every questionable call that went Bammer's way?

quote:

One of the biggest controversial calls we’ll see all season happened in the Alabama-Ole Miss game.

When Chad Kelly rolled out nearing the line of scrimmage, he hit the 73-yard pop-pass for a touchdown. The officials immediately ruled that Kelly had crossed the line of scrimmage before he let go of the football, but the call was reversed, thus giving the Rebels a critical touchdown.

Saban confirmed Wednesday that Alabama sent the replay into the league’s office for clarification on the play and lineman who appeared downfield, according to CBS Sports, which is not a reviewable call under the current rule.

However, Saban didn’t blame the touchdown on the missed call Wednesday.

Tom Ritter will come out at the beginning of the Ole Miss-Vandy game and say "After official review from the SEC, Ole Miss has had a touchdown taken away from the game last week so they are now 2-1. Also Bama gets a three touchdown lead to start the game two years from now. They don't get it next year because Ole Miss has received the Death Penalty.... Vandy wins this game by default. Roll Tide."

It happens a lot. Almost every questionable call that goes against a team and results in a loss is sent to the league office. Nick is doing his job.

You people who believe in the REC Conspiracy. Don't y'all bypass the SEC with the officiating complaints and take it straight to the FBI?

In all seriousness, the article says they simply sent it in for clarification on the rule. That seems like a fair thing to do, given that it is still called on extremely rare occasions, but clear examples of it are often missed. I think any rational person would agree that this rule needs to be clarified. Either don't have it at all or call it consistently.

Good.

And Miles should submit the AU TD on basically the same play. O lineman 6 yards downfield.

He should. The play as executed is illegal.

Yeahhhhh….. Him submitting this clearly demonstrates that he's blaming the loss on someone else, the refs.

I'm sure freeze will be sending every holding play Alabama got away with as well.
Saban knows they won't call it on him so they hold every play.

And who can blame them with a monster like Nkemdiche who they had to double team.. And still held him ...

The road goes both ways. every Alabama fan that brings this up is a butt hurt bitch.
You ripped out guys head around by the face mask and scored a touch down last year....

shite happens, admit defeat have some class, and move the frick on.
