This is just me, but with what Kiffin has built at Ole Miss and what he is being paid there, I’d rather stay put at Ole Miss and build my own legacy there than to compete against the legacies of Spurrier and Meyer or the legacies of Saban, Miles, 0, and Kelly ( ).

Expectations seem to be lower at OM. Why leave that when LSU and Florida fired coaches after such a short run.

That's not at all what he "suggested" if you take the time to read his answers.

If Lane had his same 6 year record from Ole Miss but had been coaching LSU, they'd have fired him last year.

I'm dead serious.

Now maybe he would have had better results coaching LSU but maybe not.

He definitely would have been fired before this year. He had a top 5 roster last year and didn't make the playoffs. Same as Kelly this year. He'd have been fired.

LSU is a wild ride for a coach.

Competitive coaches don't seek out low expectation jobs
