all the negative responders is them facing reality and it hurts. Nick is on top of the college football world. He is the most powerful and influential figure in the game. He would be hated by everyone no matter where he was coaching, however, him being at Bama only intensifies the hate. Bama is the apex of college football and now they have a coach that equals the university's persona. Honestly, it is a heck of a double-edged sword.

I've atleast gotten half the Bama fans I know to admit they didnt belong in the game. I try to tell them that admitting they didn't belong isn't the same thing as saying another team was better.

bullshite. Under the current BCS format we most definitely belonged. We were the number 2 team in the BCS rankings and we were the best football team in the nation. We belonged and proved it on the field.

Oh really? Yes, that's right - the current BCS format that allows some of the voters - be it coaches or 'human poll' voters to vote Oklahoma State FIFTH OR SIXTH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

....The same Oklahoma State team that did EVERYTHING it was supposed to do and that they were told had to happen under the "current" BCS format - to play in the title game: have a much stronger SOS - check. Beat the everloving tar out of Oklahoma (formerly #1 Oklahoma) in the Big 12 championship game - check. Win their conference title - check.
But no. Saban (why not Gundy ?????) was allowed to whine and beg in the broadcast booth during the SECCG for his 2nd place team to go OVER a much much much much more deserving Okie State team.
How in good conscience can you seriously think Alashama/Mullignama deserved to be there - when the ONLY FRICKING reason they were was because of a group of IDIOT coaches and human poll voters putting Okie State at FIFTH OR SIXTH !!

If they had voted Okie State 2nd or even THIRD instead of FIFTH OR SIXTH - Oklahoma State would have been in the Dome on January 9 - not the Alashama Mulligump 2nd place conference team.

Oh, and BTW, the "no good" FG by Oklahoma State did go 'over' the cross bar, but on the INSIDE part of the crossbar - so they refs BLEW it - it would have been good as it would have ricocheted IN, not outside the goal post.

No, you are the negative responder. Your 'reality' is that your 2nd place SEC West team was only allowed to play Jan. 9 because your sopping wet vulva coach was somehow allowed to lobby on national tv during the SECCG for Alashama. Why wasn't OSU Coach Mike Gundy allowed to do the same ?????????????????????????

Saban's begging affected some of the coaches and human poll voters to INCREDULOUSLY vote Oklahoma State FIFTH OR SIXTH. FIFTH. OR. SIXTH.
Why is that? They had a ridiculously harder SOS than 'Shama (I thought that was supposed to be a BCS 'criteria'?)
They won their conference CHAMPIONSHIP - by beating former #1 Oklahoma - BADLY.

And you people are PROUD of Nick Saban ?????
Really ?
REEEEEALLY ???????????????????????????????????

BTW - Where did "the most powerful coach in college football' vote Oklahoma State ????????
.........................................................FOURTH. FOURTH !!!!!!!!!!!
That sums it up right there.

'Most powerful man' - my anal orifice.........

Bruh your resume wasn't as good as osu's resume. Bama beat 2 ranked teams and 3 with winning record. Osu beat 5 ranked and 6 with winning record. Now tell me how you had a better resume? Because you didnt. You played one good team all year and lost at home.

[quote] Crimson Chin
Who said that the BCS championship game was going to be played by the teams with the best so called resume? It is played by whomever ends up #1 and #2 in the BCS poll decided by the coaches votes, Harris votes and computer rankings?

Yes yes yes. Unfortunately, you are right.
But you """""CAN'T""""" tell me with a straight face, that the faction of coaches and Harris voters that voted Okie State FIFTH OR SIXTH did NOT affect how Bama was allowed to play Jan. 9 over Okie State. And if you do have a straight face with your reply, give me your reasons.

I GUARAN-DAMN-TY you, that if it were LSU instead of Alabama put to the vote of BCS voters - that OKIE STATE would have been chosen over LSU.

Congrats Alashama on your Mulligump win.

You always post that same shite on how you think OSU should have been in NOLA blah blah blah. Seriously, just give it up. The BCS was designed to put number 1 vs. number 2 and the people voted and thats what they wanted.

9-6.

What's truly cyclically hilarious is that since 2000, LSU is 9-3 versus Bama.

Since Les' arrival, we've gone 7-3.

Against Saban, Les is 5-3 straight up.

We've won 4 SEC Titles, played for a 5th, won 2 National Titles in that span of time with two different coaches.

In the midst of winning 5 in a row from 2003-2007, Bama Fans would trot out the "all time record".

Yet in 2010 leading up to our game in Tiger Stadium, they wanted spout off about "two straight".

This isn't something that only Bama fans are afflicted with. Lots of fans do it. Its the inherent nature of statistics mixed with fandom. Unless you're Ole Miss or the Washington Effin' Generals, you can make stats say whatever you want, to be honest.

Just think its humorous in this instance.

Yep, because when other people are giving press conferences, they just start on time whether the person is there or not and continue for as long as the press wants even if the person leaves. Saban is indeed unique.

You're off on these. Since 2000, LSU is 8-4 vs. Bama, not 9-3. And Since Les got here, we're 5-3, not 7-3, and Les is 3-3 vs. Saban, not 5-3.

It blows my mind that you guys feel the need to start threads like this...then the overwhelming positive reaction they get from members of your fanbase, then the fact that some of you have the gaul to call other fans/posters insecure. Sorry for the pop in...back to your saban circle jerk.
