I'm talking about the competition. Just look at last years draft and the product Ohio State has on the field this year and you'll see my point. There are only a few programs that can truly reload and Ohio State and Alabama are two of them.

you start off by using unpaid players then used examples from people who are paid to try and support your logic....a little flawed

Shouldn't the burden of proof be for you to produce some evidence of players being promised PT, not getting it and then leaving due to that promise being unfulfilled?
I haven't seen any of those in 10 years - but I don't keep up with everything Alabama.

Nah, this whole thread is about him being a hypocritical piece of trash, with proof. It's their burden to prove otherwise.

Saban is a great coach and recruiter, but he seems like a real douche at everything else.

Don't be naive, you have no idea what Saban promises those kids.

Saban doesn't promise playing time to anyone.

He's paid to win football games and he does, a lot of them. The rest really doesn't matter now does it.

Answer me this one question.. This is the question I use to see if you're rational at all. Are bama recruits given money, cars, etc for committing to Alabama?

Yeah, he's an upstanding guy. He just tells them to join the process behind 8 other 5 star players and they jump right on that.

Probably, and I couldn't care less.

I'm glad Ohio state is relevant again
The Fickell year is the only year in the last 15 that you could possibly say that Ohio State wasn't relevant so I'm not sure what point you were trying to make with this statement.

According to the players and recruits, yeah. That's essentially what he says.

BB8 has a critical role on this team it just isn't the one he wants.
And it's Barnett's prerogative to go to a situation that suits him better. Saban needs to stop getting butthurt every time someone wants to transfer.

It's a lesson he would learn if not at Bama surley in the NFL if he ever gets drafted.
and he may never get to his goal of the NFL if he sits behind Hurts the rest of his career. Maybe Barnett has NFL talent, along with Hurts. Both want to play and need to play for NFL scouts, but there's only one spot for that. He still has that option now. And it's irresponsible to compare this to what he could face in the NFL. For one, he'd be collecting a paycheck in the NFL.

I think the issue was transferring mid-season and leaving his team in a possible bind when there really wasn't a ton of difference in whether he left now or in January. Regardless, Saban didn't need to talk about it publically or say the things he did last night. He acted out of emotion, something he tends to do to his detriment at times. It wasn't a good look.

Can I ask for a link? I read the Julio jones and all it said was "I can win with you or without you."
