This is the same as getting drunk, driving 100 mph on the interstate and then failing to stop when requested to do so by the police?
his cousin could have killed somebody just like Fairley. Barron doesn't give a frick about innocent people on the roads just like Fairley.
Barron's cuz lives to drink and drive another day thanks to Marky Mark.

but it was just one Auburn fan that expressed his opinion and it was a probably a tongue-in-cheek comment by dirtydiddy. I could be wrong...but I think most Auburn fans were probably disappointed...maybe even embarrassed....by what Fairley did.
This is what I had assumed when I first made a snide remark about his comment, but then some wanted to defend it...

I never suggested any of that. But after selling recruits on becoming part of "the family", it just seems awful shitty of any Auburn supporter to go all the way to:
You seem to be not able to differentiate the difference between the team and their "family" and the fan base.
99% of the fan base don't personally know any members of the football team. So when the team sells "family" to the recruit, they're exclusively talking in the context of the football team.
So if an actual player comes on here and shits all over Fairley, maybe you'll have a point then.
In regards of what Fairley did, I simply don't understand it. I have a nice paying job that hardly pays a fraction of what these dudes make. Yet, I'd never do anything to jeopardize that job.
You'd think after getting popped for weed, he'd be on his best behavior...I would
There's one rule while driving dirty. Don't draw attention to yourself. You're driving 100 mph with an open container?
I'll never understand

Ummmm...not so much. The snake oil being sold is that Auburn University is one big "family" and they are special, and different, than other universities because of that.

So you're telling me you follow AU recruiting more than I do?
When you use the term family like AU football does, you can't speak for every "fan" b/c there are sickos out there.
They're selling a brotherhood that is unique to other football teams. Is it true? I dunno cause I've never been around them.
When Chiz tells a recruit to come be apart of the family, I seriously doubt he has a poster on the SEC rant in mind.

Point out where I said that.

Then start confiscating signs at the gates of Jordan Hare.

They are selling the snake oil that Housel cooked up. That AU is special, and family, and everyone hugs and signs kumbaya.

There is a close knit brotherhood in every organization like a sports team or the military.

He is pumping sunshine about the "Auburn Family". That special little place down on the plains where you can be different and a part of something special. Other teams have "nations"...AU has a "family". It is a marketing pitch. You know it.

You should probably take your problems up with the recruits, since they're the ones that spread the word of how much of a family Auburn is.

I don't have any problems with it. Every school has a pitch. It just so happens that AU uses "family".

Different kids react differently to different pitches. Some like the "family" bullshite, and some like the "business" bullshite. It is the same thing, just packaged in a different bottle.

We have lots of black sheep in the family.
Not all families get along either.

Unless they're giving out the death penalty for DUIs, I'm quite certain that "Barron's cuz would live to drink and drive another day" regardless of what Marky Mark did.

A**hole tried to end too many careers with his cheap shots, including Dorsey's. Karma.

So why are you on here bitching, crying and whining about it if you have no problem with it?

Dam dude, you're starting to sound like those crazy ATPBers. Randomly spouting out sentences that makes absolutely no sense.

I'm not bitching about anything. Use that marketing and rope in those 5*'s. Just don't pretend that it is something more than marketing. As far as the Housel comment, if I wasn't on my phone, I would link to his speech. AU has a bunker mentality, and tie it into the "Family" thing.
Before your Victoria Secrets get into a wad, UA sells "The Process". I'm smart enough to call it what it is..big boy football where you sell bullshite. Family = Process. Same shite, different bottle.
Now, I know this may be difficult for you to hear, but it is the truth. AU isn't special. Their snake oil is packages that way, but all teams are close (family). AU doesn't hold a monopoly on that, no matter what the recruiting pitch is..just the same as UA isn't the only team with a "business" approach.
