You're not being trolled. He's not a dirty player. He's mean, like he should be. Football isn't for pussies, no matter what the NFL is trying to make the game.

His helmet-to-back hit on Murray was bad. I understand why people were upset with that. I cringe every time I see the replay.

Everything else, as far as I'm concerned, is butt-hurt complaining.

People talk crap, but I'd like for anyone to honestly tell me they wouldn't have loved for Fairley to be making those plays in their uniform.

I doubt he will make much of an impact in the NFL, and that has nothing to do with his style of play.

I think he has the potential to be a star. He is very quick off the ball and instinctive. He needs to stay disciplined with his weight training and off the field. I think he will be fine.

This.

Everyone whining about dirty plays and whatnot would love to have had Fairley playing on their team last year. Dick Butkus would call all of you pussies.

Doubtful. Brantley got his dick put in the dirt plenty of times, it's part of the game. There's 2 things in football I won't point blame to, and that's the refs or "dirty" play. I don't think guys are intentionally "dirty". I think it's part of their nature on defense to try to destroy the opposition. I want defenders that are nasty and mean.

That hit Fairley put on the Oregon QB in the NCG sticks out to me. They tried pulling that zone-read crap but he was too fast and swallowed up the QB. Say what you want but he has speed and can break through some double teams so he has a good shot at success in the NFL.

Plays too high and will struggle against the run in the NFL. Conditioning is also suspect. He will be an average player in the NFL.

He didn't look like he played too high when he was constantly splitting double teams in the SEC. He does play high at times, but that's because he's tired. He hasn't even stepped on an NFL field yet and you think he's a bust already. I bet you said the same thing about Jamarcus Russell.

Did not say he would be a bust. I said he would be average. You are comparing SEC linemen to NFL linemen. They aren't even close. He stands up at the snap and he will get eaten up by experience professional road graders. I don't doubt he will still make it to the QB on occasion, but against the run he will be a liability unless he improves his technique.

Fairley is a good man. Well spoken, and actually comes off as a little passive.

What I've always said.

Couple dirty hits? Sure. He is a god damn defensive lineman. If he was on (insert team here), (insert team here)'s fans would love him.

You must have terrets or a serious speach impediment. I cant make up my mind whether the shite he says is retarded or not, because it sounds like he has a bag full of m&m's in his mouth.

But I can care less if he does well or not, the guy was an awesome player in college, but of the top prospects coming out, I feel he is one of the likeliest to fail. It takes someone really really special to come out and dominate at the DT position and I dont necessarily see it in him.

Fairly is a dirty POS and a good football player. He could still be good without playing like a thug.

The SEC is full of "thugs". He plays like a DL should.
