I'm impressed by the maturity and restraint exhibited by the members of this board in not hammering LSU for losing their bowl game against a middling Big 12 program last night. Even though they manned up and clearly played the game shorthanded (unlike A&M), this board has never accepted excuses or explanations of any kind for a loss. It really seems apparent that the posters of this board have collectively turned over a new leaf. Looking forward to the New Year free of any shite posting or trolling on this board. Cheers and happy New Year, friends!

They showed a lot of heart and learned some life lessons. And at the end of the day that’s what matters really

I didn't watch their game, but they sacked up and played. How did Kelly do in his debut?

Kansas played like a team and it showed. LSU, really didn't have much of a team left, so I didn't think it would end well. tRant is what it is, so who cares if we get flamed or not?

He gave a great interview in the pressbox.

I think we accept that mid and low tier bowl games are often going to be played with skeleton rosters and partial coaching staffs from now on. The bowl team isn't going to resemble the regular season team hardly at all.

Sad state of affairs, but it's the reality of the game today.

Classy post, have an upvote. Some posters of a certain fan base could learn a thing or two from posts like this.

Hard to beat down on a founding member then Johnny come lately just quits at the first sign of adversity. I will say this, Bama, Florida, Georgia, Miss State, Ole Piss all would have played that game.

Well said. And very accurate. With the exception of the CFP participants this is what we are going to see from this point forward. Which will probably drive the impetus to open up the field and incorporate some of these bowls into the CFP with an expanded field (possibly 8 to 12 teams total). Give some incentive to players to stay in the fight.

Hope you had a good time at the game

I certainly enjoyed watching it from home.

Yep.

Pro caliber players are going to be saving themselves for draft preparation. Quality players that feel they're not cracking the starting lineup will be heading for the "portal potty" door, trying to get on a team where they can start. Plus the usual grade casualties. So it'll just be the freshman and sophomore starters, plus the walk ons.

They were very short-handed but still played the game instead of quitting like A&M. Why should they get hammered?

It's amazing how you can keep track of all of your alters and even converse with each other.
