Stafford with this offense would be filthy. Maybe I'm in the minority but I kinda rather have the fat drunk. Not by a lot but boy oh boy would that be glorious when they are hitting on all cylinders.

I always thought Stafford was hampered by UGA's OL when he was there.

Both would be great, but I don't see us necessarily being on another level with stafford. He could throw harder, obviously, and could fit the ball into little windows maybe a little better than Murray. But I think Murray throws a much better deep ball, and is better at getting out of the pocket and making plays on the run.

At any rate, our offense under those 2 has gone as our RBs go.

06/10- bad
07/08/11/12- good

Career wise obviously Murray has done more, but I think it'd be interesting to ask other fanbases outside of LSU and UGA who they would want throwing the football the rest of the season.

I agree with all you said. Maybe it's personal bias, I just like Stafford more for this offense. I think the surrounding cast is better and while it's completely subjective and ultimately may even be negligible I feel like Stafford keeps composure better than Murray in addition to being a better thrower. Murray is the better athlete and leader.

It's close but I kinda like to think Stafford would turn baller status on us.

I'm not forgetting anything. I am talking about college, and you are trying to talk about what scouts think he will do in the NFL.

Then WTF are you talking about if he has only played 1 year and a quarter of another and he still has the rest of this season to play out his college career? How can you already label him a bust when he has a top 3 QBR rating for THIS season? And before you say he has only been played 4 cupcakes this season, your the one already calling him a bust. I am sure your just trolling and acting like your dense but you look like an idiot.

They're choosing who they think is the best pro prospect. Murray's height really hurts him.

As for who I want lining up for Georgia on Saturdays, I'll choose Murray every time.

I agree with all that. And seeing how this is an SEC board and not an NFL board, and this debate is raging between LSU and UGA fans, you'd think which one you'd rather have Saturday is what's important. Not which one NFL execs rather have in a couple years.

Murray. He's been there for three years, seen and done it all and has performed well. Mett is still unproven and inconsistent in big games. Murray has played great football in their last three big games (vs Alabama, @Clemson, South Carolina), it wasn't his fault they lost those first two. Murray has proven he can play well over a full season, Mett hasn't.

Two different things. I'll take my college QB with 10,000 yards, 102 TD's over your NFL prospect all day, every day.

What's that QB's career record against top 10 teams again?

Murray has been spectacular his last three games against top 10 teams, he's turned that corner and put that stigma behind him (unless you're an opposing fan wanting to use it in an argument against him). Georgia's defense lost the Alabama and Clemson games, and Murray hung 41 on USCe this year.

He is a better PRO prospect in most peoples opinion. Good thing is, we will find out soon enough.

Both are better Pro Prospects than AJ though

You clearly know that's what he's doing. It's all any opponent we face this year will continue going back to. Nevermind the fact that in 2010 he was a true freshman with a brand new (and bad) defensive scheme with no great RB, and last year we again had a mediocre defense and the offense had to win games by themselves. Hell, even this year in our 2 big games the offense has put up 35 and 41 points going 1-1.

Anyone who actually watches a full UGA game can see that far more often than not, we lose games for reasons other than murray.
