The NFL Management Council has ruled that former Ole Miss defensive tackle and NFL rookie Zxavian Harris is an eligible free agent and able to work out or sign with a franchise of his choosing, according to a recent memo obtained by Front Office Sports.

He was previously ruled ineligible to join an NFL team in September, but the league reversed that decision after Harris disputed its claim that he played college football this season. Since Harris never practiced at LSU, his intended school after being granted a preliminary eligibility injunction, the NFL has designated him as a free agent. He is free to join any team on its active roster or practice squad.

Rightfully so. Absolute scumbag move, but Zav is only to blame for trusting a guy that he just called a snake.

never practiced at LSU,

Here is the key in supporting him being able to play in the NFL. He never practiced at LSU and was never on their roster, if I understand correctly.

Hope it works out for him. Probably needs a year to really focus on getting in shape.

Goes to prove how out of line the SEC was trying to kick LSU out of the conference over him.

- He never practiced for an NFL team. His "contract" with the Saints is now void.
- He never practiced for LSU, but most of this board thought he was proof "LSU was definitely going to roster former NFL players."

The SEC seriously needs to reconsider its leadership.

If he can lose weight, he should make a roster

It's like someone holding a knife to someone's throat and threatening to slit it asking "what did I do wrong? I always said I wouldn't kill her."
