And once again, would you believe either one of them was especially talented? They had good motors but neither was a playmaker in their 5 years here. Recruiting rankings mean nothing after 4-5 years. Was Anthony Jennings really talented? He was a 4-star too.
Lacouture and Gilmore got by on great motors their last year here, neither one was out there dominating double teams or making quick plays behind the line. They were great at playing a lot of snaps and mopping up plays that continued to go on in the backfield for extended periods of time.

Well, their stats are deceiving bc Arandas scheme pretty much calls for our interior dls to be space eaters and open up opportunities for our linebackers to make plays.

This simply isn't true, we do not run a scheme where we always want our DLinemen just eating up blocks. It's not the same as what Bama used to run. Not a traditional 3-4.
Both Gilmore and Lacouture had a ton of tackles and even some sacks this year, but it's really because they simply played a TON of snaps for a defensive lineman...again, the best thing you could say was they could eek out 50-60 snaps a game for you pretty comfortably and stay with plays to hopefully mop some stuff up.

Funny when bitches downvote facts AND have no rebuttal.

My boy Rob Foster! I think he's going to do well and the scouts won't hold his drops and fumble against him because they know he only had good QB play for one half the last two seasons.

Well Coach O didn't recruit any of them, it was his job to make the DL better than it was, and he did do that, and secured some nice talent for the future.
Gilmore and LaCouture aren't especially talented guys

I think Herron was a 5 star DE, right?

Surprised that Bradley Bozeman is not invited.
