I agree that on paper UGA should be better than UF - but they were better than USCe by even more this year... so the original poster has a point that UF is set up for success. Whether they can capitalize or not is another story - but his post isn’t incorrect. They will have a pretty easy schedule save games vs LSU and UGA.

UF has players from each level of the defense that will go higher in this year's draft.

We have like 1 guy leaving who go in the upper rounds. Our DB. You wont see one in our front 7

I remember last yr when ppl screamed how Polite was a top 15 player.. Last I checked he's on his like 2nd or 3rd team on a practice squad.

It's unbelievable that a QB as good as Trask wouldn't strike the NFL draft iron while it's hot.

Ok, answer this.

Brady going top 5 in the draft, Im sure the LSU WRS will go first day of the draft.

Who on our front 7 will go first day? Give me at least 4 names.. Ill wait

'3rd and Grantham' strikes again: Georgia converts 12 third downs, most since facing.........Todd Grantham in 2014 bowl game

The former Georgia defensive coordinator continued that trend on Saturday as the Bulldogs successfully converted 12 of 18 third down attempts against Florida in the Bulldogs’ 24-17 win over the Gators.
How impressive are those numbers for Georgia? According to Jason Starrett of The Athletic, Georgia had not converted that many third down attempts since the team’s appearance in the 2014 Belk Bowl. In case you have forgotten, Georgia beat Louisville in the 2014 Belk Bowl.

The defensive coordinator for Louisville that season? You guess it.
Todd Grantham.

This is a problem.

How'd the offense do on 3rd down vs UGA? We gonna fire Mullen too?

really.

Clemson: 42 points, 628 yards, 7.8 yards/play, 4/11 third down
Flordia: 42 points, 511 yards, 10.7 yards/play, 1/4 third down

Ouch.

Still waiting for you to admit comparing Grantham to Venables was idiotic.

No one is debating UGA has more talent.
It will probably always be that way while Smart is there.

3rd and Grantham allowed UGA to convert 12/18 on 3rd downs.
It will be hard to win any championships with that type of 3rd down defense.

But you're right Grantham is great.

Where did I say he's great? I said he is doing a good job for the lack of talent we have on the defense.

Who is Florida’s hope at qb ? Trask won’t get it done. Still not much on offense to win the sec.

And all I said was that I don't believe we're winning a title with him as DC anytime soon.
Its possible but Its hard to see right now for me. Would love to be wrong though.

We gotta fix the OL before we do anything. Our OL is all 3 star players except for Gouriage who is a Mullen guy. The rest are Mac Specials.

Ppl -Some Gator fans included- fail to remember how bad Mac was at recruiting where it mattered. Hopefully the OL gets a huge facelift and we can run the ball next season.

Zuniga (and Greenard) will go higher than any Clemson DL/edge rusher in the 2020 draft.

Reese will go higher than any Clemson LB.

Henderson will go higher than any Clemson DB.

All of these guys are what you consider to be "Mac specials".

We all remember. I mentioned today in that "UF has a UGA problem" thread that we're in a rebuild.
Mullen is ahead of schedule after the damage the last two hires inflicted but regardless of talent we have to do better on 3rd down defense (OL and overall talent too).
South Carolina can't be that much more talented than UF on defense.

Reese is slow for a LB. Highly doubt that.

Zuniga

Last I heard, has a 3rd round grade
quote:

Greenard

First 2 rounds

Henderson will go higher than any Clemson DB.

Corner has never been a problem. Don't look at the Safeties tho

Then you cant count Greenard. He's a Grantham guy.

Trask did just fine this year despite an inexperienced Oline. So why will he suddenly sucked next year?

Doesn't make a lot of rational sense
