Why wouldn’t we spend all that money on NIL instead of paying off Auburn to suck?

To be fair, there are lots of people in Alabama who are paying AU football to suck.

But why pay for what you can have for free?

Is that IT&T? If so, not even close to the craziest conspiracy theory that board has concocted.

Any power the REC ever had has been broken by NIL and this new era of College Football we find ourselves in. These idiots need to get over themselves and realize what the common denominator was: Pat Dye.

Patrick Fain Dye was the brains of that organization for decades. He kept Auburn competitive as a head coach in the 80s and in the front office from the 90s until his death in 2020. Since the death of Dye, Auburn has been below .500 and have made some very questionable hiring decisions.
