WADE: Hopefully (Jaron) Blossomgame's not blowing you up too much right now.
DAWKINS: Well listen, I mean [expletive], he could be playing for LSU or some [expletive]. He could have fifth-year eligibility and if he doesn't get drafted like Randolph Morris or some [expletive] like that.
WADE: We'll take that. We'll take it.
DAWKINS: I know you will. I know you will.
WADE: We could compensate him better than the rookie minimum.
DAWKINS (laughing): You probably right about that, too.
WADE: We'd give him more than the the D-League.
DAWKINS: Exactly. Exactly. God bless us all. God bless us all. So, what's the good word, though?
WADE: All right I was thinking last night on this Smart thing. Like, I'll be honest with you, I'm [expletive] tired of dealing with the thing. Like I'm just [expletive] sick of dealing with this [expletive]. What do you think, 'cause I went to him with a [expletive] strong-arse offer about a month ago. [Expletive] strong. Now, the problem was, I know why he didn't take it now -- it was [expletive] tilted toward the family a little bit. But I mean it was a [expletive] hell of a [expletive] offer. Like, hell of an offer. Especially for a kid who's going to be a two or three-year kid.
DAWKINS: Right.

Until they go after Alabama's football program. Any other enforcement of NCAA rules and regulations should be ruled null and void.

Funny you say this because it reminds me of the
months leading up to when the NCAA finally hammered
Alabama after an extended investigation, which in itself was penalizing. There were multiple Bama fans and of course all the "insiders" who thought nothing
would come of it---the same as many LSU'ers
poo-pooing it all away now, despite a coach who in his own voice talks about buying or attempting to buy
recruits. If you choose to believe since Emmert and
LSU's A-D are such good buddies, the NCAA will
have a big laugh in front of the world and make it all go away, that's your choice. I'm just saying~~~~~~

North Carolina made up classes and were caught extensively cheating for 20+ years, yet nothing happened to them

Y’all act like the NCAA is consistent, fair, and ethical. Our athletic director literally bbq’s with the NCAA president. If he felt like LSU needed to fire Will Wade then we’d have done it with cause.

Is this where we use the "K, keep me posted" image?

The fact that the NCAA didn't do shite to North Carolina when they committed academic fraud makes me (projectile vomiting as I say it) hope LSU gets 0 penalties.

But then, you unraveled the expectation that
because of N.C., nothing will happen to LSU with this:

No, it's not fair and equitable and thus, who really knows how they'll handle an open admission of cheating---the NCAA WILL feel an enormous amount of pressure to do something when Will Wade's voice is heard wheeling & dealing in recruits for pay. That you can count on. But of course, believe what you wish.

LSU athletics deserves the death penalty for how arrogant they've been about Will Wade. Actively employing a cheater, despite the evidence, was very reckless. Anything short of the death penalty to the basketball program is a joke.

Do the right thing, NCAA. Grow some balls. This should have been done a year ago.

Proof that any actual cheating took place?

This is every LSU fan's go-to.

How fricking blind are you all?

Arrogance and ignorance all rolled into one.

You accused LSU of employing an active cheater. Surely you have some evidence of actual cheating to support your claim.

According to our local paper there isn't anything new on the documentvery.

Does it necessarily matter if there is anything new?

I thought the main issue was that since the tapes were not played/admitted in the court case that the NCAA only had leaked second hand "reports" of what was on the tapes.

Doesn't that change completely if the tapes will now be accessible to everyone?

It's important to read the quoted text to understand the context of a post.

To answer question directly anyways, I have no clue what difference it makes. It's been my opinion the whole time that there needs to be some sort of proof of payment to hand down anything major as far as punishment.

Not really sure why the focus is on the SEC. Wade's a bit brazen in his cheating but the other top programs like UK and UF are at least appearingly playing by the rules.
