Anyone saying Texas is mostly a dry heat has spent very little time here.

Gotta say, every day I'm more excited about Mizzou being in the conference. Even though y'all are a bunch of damn yankees.

Also for the first time we now have a waiting list for season tickets bc of the SEC move for sure.
So many excited fans to get their arse kicked.

Why is Mizzou increasing capacity for?? They averaged 62,095 in 2011 in a official capacity 71,004 seat stadium? Almost 10,000 under.
I saw another Mizzou poster already explained the actual seating capacity at Faurot is 62k, the 9k on the hill throws off the official capacity.
So for the past few years, Mizzou has actually been at or overselling the seating capacity, plus factor in how shitty a lot of Big 12 teams traveled, (excluding you guys, Texas, Nebraska and Oklahoma).
Also, a lot of the proposed additional seating has been box/luxury seating, which Mizzou utterly lacks currently and there is certainly a market for that type of seating.

I tried to explain this, but it went over some heads.
Texas is HUGE. El Paso is closer to San Diego than it is to Houston. The weather in Houston and El Paso could not be any different, other than the fact that both are hot as shite.

Also apparently the new stadium designs are going to be leaking soon, the total capacity will be up to 81-83k and should be 6th biggest in the SEC. I will try to bring them to the rant when and if I find them
I'm waiting to see this because as of right now your stadium looks like CRAP.

RummyStiltSkin,
The electronic vibrating football game thingy was revolutionary....
....in the 50s.
Still, it's fun.

It's such a vast area that the climate varies depending on which part of the state you are in.

Holy shite! Texas is huge??? I didn't know that. News flash everyone...Texas is huge!
On a serious note, I understand that there are areas in Texas that are very dry and areas that are humid. And, yes, I've spent quite a bit of time in Texas. In fact, I'll be in Houston next Friday to purchase a carbon/kevlar racing canoe.
I think it's funny that a discussion about a black and gold turf football field and a joke about Mizzou's field being called The Oven somehow turned into a pissing match of who lives in the hotter state.
But then again, that's no surprise. The South outdoes everyone on everything. You know what, Texas is frying pan hot. The South is kiln hot. And Missouri if fricking cold in the summers.
