Black turf is a terrible, terrible idea.

How does that look horrible?

Your midfield logo sucks. Get on our level.

Did anyone else think this was going to be about Mizzou going to colored turf?
I did.
I thought so too.
But I'm waiting until A&M comes out with its redesigned Kyle Field, and we introduce our maroon-colored bermuda grass to the world!

That may make the field too hot. Gold turf with black yard lines would be better.

Yea, then it would like dead grass. Awesome.

Hell on Earth is exactly right! That's what I want to see! Hell on Earth! Can you imagine how hot it would get soaking up all of the sun?
There'd be blisters on arms and legs, people passing out left and right...pure hell.
It would be a feared place to play a game. It would become know as The Oven. People would be like, "shite dude, we have to play in The Oven tomorrow. I don't wanna do it, man! I've heard bad things. We could die in there!"

Mizzou players would have to play on the same field, you know.

Hidalgo Texas, basically in Mexico, has a dark blue turf. I haven't heard of any complaints of them having heat problems and they are certainly further south than Misery.

Mizzou players would be used to it. We'd weed out the players who couldn't take the heat early on and what would remain would be a football team of heat demons with bad attitudes.
The Oven would be a feared place to play. We'd place a big sign above the visitor's locker room that would say,
"Welcome to The Oven. You will burn."
Players from the visiting team would be puking in the locker room before the game simply due to nerves. We'd have the air cranked as low as possible so the visitors' locker room would be nice and chilly.
Then, when the visiting team crossed the threshold of safety and entered the field, they'd feel the full effect of hellish heat!

Wow that is an old picture of Faurot.
It was renovated around 2001 and this pic precedes that...

Do you understand how hot it gets in Missouri? Being further south doesn't necessarily mean it's hotter.
I have a lot of family who live in Texas, and while it can get very hot, it's usually a dry heat. Dry heat can be very comfortable until you realize that you have a severe sunburn.
On the other hand, it gets up to 100+ in Missouri throughout July and August, but we have the added bonus of humidity. On those days, you can barely breath without feeling like you're going to drop dead.
That's Missouri. The Oven.

No idea how old the picture is, I just googled it
Is that pebble design still in an end-zone area though?

Speaking as someone who lived in Atlanta for a long time before moving to Missouri...it gets waaayyyy hotter in Georgia/Alabama than it does here. They have the temperatures and way more humidity than Missouri. It's a lot different type of heat than Texas and way worse in my opinion.

I lived in North Carolina for a summer and the humidity was terrible! I agree, the southeast is HOT.
But so is Missouri. We sort of known for wild weather and temperature changes.
I 100 percent agree. Texas heat doesn't compare to Missouri or southeastern heat. The humidity is what makes it terrible here, and even worse in the southeast.
