Drastic change. Wow, projected 5th and 6th. At that point, it comes down to scheme for, which is going to make more difference than anything on here that has been spoken about Chase or Smith. Pretty much proves everyone who was on the Chase side of the argument, he did nothing this year and is still projected a top 6 pick.

I can only imagine the stats Smith wouldve put up a full year without Waddle

Or just a full year. 15 games instead of 13.

Chase played 14 games and only played about a quarter and half against Ga So where he had 2 catches for 21 yards. He ended the year with 84 catches and 1,780 yards and 20 tds. 1 in every 4 catches went for a td and 21.2 ypc. Really insane.

The difference is Waddle getting hurt. Smith would have been very productive either way, but he had to be and was electric after Waddle injury. Very impressive. He was also the best and most productive Bama wr in 2019. He could break Chase’s single season yardage and td mark and Jefferson’s reception record in natty.

2019 LSU wr stats
Chase 84 catches, 1,780 yards, 20 tds (14 games)
Jefferson 111 catches,1,540 yards,18 tds (15 games)
Marshall 46 catches, 671 yards, 13 tds (12 games)

2020 Bama wr stats
Smith 105 catches, 1,641 yards, 20 tds (12 games)
Metchie 47 catches, 835 yards, 6 tds (12 games)
Waddle 25 catches, 557 yards, 4 tds (5 games)

This is the same mock draft that has the BYU QB going #3 to Miami.....all credibility is gone at that point.

Also, I highly doubt Cincy would pick Smith over Chase in the #5 spot if they chose a WR. Burrow would be pushing to get Chase and they would go that route. That said, Cincy needs OL badly, so I hope they go that route.

No need to try to make one seem alot better then the other ,the facts are pretty simple .smith was borderline 1st to 2nd because of his smaller stature at the beginning of the year . but hes definitely moved up.
I think kiper has smith above chase now. It was a coin flip between waddle and chase still after chase opted out and before waddle got hurt. Waddle dropped a bit ,smith moved up and chase stayed the same .

Waddle smith and chase are all different recievers and teams will have the 3 ranked in different orders depending on what kind or reciever they need or prefer.

These are the unbiased facts

Instead of facts or a civil discussion or debate, you get people like wt21 and others ,wwho come in here to bash a player and people take up for a good kid in smith. So understandably that start people bashing chase and acting like children.

This applies to all lsu alabama discussions that turn to shite and people wishing injury on great young men. Its bullshite and sad to see.

This isnt all about this thread it's more about people talking shite about tua getting hurt and burrow getting hurt .we all saw where that shite went and it was embarrassing. Same thing on Dickerson, yeah hes a punk ,but doesnt deserve the wishes of injury. Just my opinion
