Except it's not a made up trophy...
ETA: All it was was a Rose Bowl trophy. And the Rose Bowl wanted its winner to be named a national champion. It is not recognized as the National Championship trophy though.

In addition to several other NC selectors. Not exactly the first year there was a split NC.

It's kind of like records. You let a WR, RB or QB break the record because they play in so many more games than the player back in the 60's. How can that be fair unless you just ignore facts.
Let ND count theirs and let Bama count their NC.

Bama claims them based on Houlgate. What has been shown, is that selectors awarded the NC to Bama at the years they now claim. Something that you and several others claim we did retroactively and that wasn't done. If any argument has been busted, it's those that claimed there were no NC selectors or awards during the yrs Bama claims.
