Most years it wouldn’t as mean much to only win the division as this year because this team has accomplished much more than anyone expected. And it is sure better than sitting home hoping the cards fall right. LSU has an outside chance of the CFP and actually can affect the outcome of the selection process, and it’s because LSU is the division champion. It’s one thing to win the division when a team is expected to be there and another when it is a complete surprise.

That’s not true. Ole Miss has an SEC West banner hanging from a year in which they tied for that and lost the tiebreaker to go to the Championship.
If this team loses to Georgia I’ll be proud of that SEC West Championship. It does not mean nothing. And I say that as a fan of a team with three national championships in the last 20 years.
