As much as UF fans try to make Tom Petty a UF thing posthumously.
He trimmed bushes for a semester and realized that he was Above trimming trees in Gainsville

I’ve watched every LSU/UF game since 2007. I didn’t know about your “4th Quarter Singing Tradition” or that you sing Tom Petty, until the weekend after he died, and the LSU band played over it because your home crew fricked up starting the song.
