While others chant "Roll Tide" in the background. It's a culture thing. Kind of like getting your picture on Bourbon St. with Harvey Updyke, the hero who poisoned historic trees on Auburn's campus. You personally may think the actions of Updyke, and the sick frick, let's call him Updick, are horrid, and you want nothing to do w/ them, but until you admit the culture is the cause of it, it will continue.
Nice try. You haven't even proved your point yet, nor have you remarked upon the same cultural patterns that exist amongst your own fan base,

Oh lookie here, a thread about 2 Saints fans shooting 2 49ers fans.
2 fans shot in Applebee's parking lot
Shocker, but there is no TigerJeff to be found in the thread telling everybody they shouldn't shoot people nor should they make fun of the shooters or shootees.
Using his thinking all LSU people are gatted up and looking to heat people up.

It wasn't a straw man; it was an analogy. A very apt analogy at that.
You're (once again) claiming that the actions of a few people are reflective of the vast majority. I've called you on it once, Nbama has called you on it once and I just called you on it again.
You might want to ditch your prejudices against 'Bama. They're being called out pretty frequently.

Mett was only banned from the metropolis of Valdosta for 1 year.

No. No it is not. To desecrate vanquished foes bodies is as old as time.

From Fallujah to Mogadishu, people get swept up and commit horrible acts upon those that they perceived as foes...

Lots of citizens of the towns I listed never pulled a trigger...but they got swept up in the mob mentality and drug, burned, sodomized, and hung the last vestiges of their "defeated foe".

People. Are. Stupid.
The above has nothing to do with fan allegiance.

Why would they think UAPD would comment?
Because LSU officials have already made informal calls to various people, along with copies of the video, still shots/twitter account info concerning identifying numerous people in that video. That was relayed to the reporter who then called the police departments, who of course had no information. Crazy how some people affiliated with LSU don't want to brush sexual assault against one of their own under the rug.
Just Crazy.

Well, at least you're acknowledging the inevitability of a 'Bama victory. With that kind of progress, I think I could live with a couple of piss bombs.

Does it mean that it's alright minimize what he did? None of us who see the crass things your fans say think it's reflective upon the culture of Louisiana football. It's not an indictment... I don't have a problem with people who change their ways. And I believe people get second and even third chances. But to see people minimize what he did, and encourage him to keep doing it, all while attacking the morality of another states' fans is just idiotic.

would like to redirect you to the video. There's Lsu fans in the background. Should we infer by their lack of intervention, they approved of what was going on?

Their fans would just prefer to brush sexual assault by one of their players under the rug "because it happened before he was affiliated with LSU", right?
Posted on 1/15/12 at 5:56 pm to Bellabama
Absolutely. They do exist in the LSU "fanbase" and other's as well. As I said before, if I see crimes like this being committed, I take steps to intervene, as should anyone. It's interesting that LSU, arguably, could "claim" 3 additional national championships, but doesn't ... Ala. claims several championships that are dubious at best -- this is part of the culture I speak of -- puffing up the school's (admittedly already impressive) accomplishments on the football field, and deriving some sort of (moral? physical? spiritual?) faux superiority complex from it.

lol i am shaking in my boots.
This thread is hilarious. If the video was of just two people who were not obviously affiliated with certain schools LSUpimp would not give a shite about it. I personally could not give a frick less about a harvey updyke narrative. Let people think what they will.
