Neat, maybe forgotten gameday traditions that are gone at your school

Maybe an unintended tradition of event that has dsappeared without much fanfare.
At Auburn the stadium announcer used to announce scores from around the SEC during timeouts and the crowd would listen together and react. Sometimes cheering together when an upset was called out or it appeared Georgia, Florida, or Alabama were about to lose. It was something that I realized later that I looked forward to during the games.
The digital boards constantly showing info from other games killed it, along with smartphones. Nobody has ever really said anything about it and I wonder how many peoole miss those unexpected moments of crowd involvement

At South Carolina - Clemson games, the student-bodies would engage in post-game gun fights with each other. Ahh, the old days are gone forever.....

Auburn - no longer having the Wreck Tech pajama parade every year. Stopped when Tech joined the ACC and quit playing Auburn.

Do we still throw the opposing team's ball out of the stadium when their kicker kicks an XP or FG into the student section?
I don't remember seeing this recently, but maybe I just haven't been paying attention. The crowd used to watch and cheer when it happened though

Simpson pepper doing the PA at Bama games. No bs leading a cheer or anything. Just called the action. Alexander at left tackle, gain of 5, second and 5.
Playing games at legion field. We were supposed to play thru like 2006 or 2007 and just,,,,stopped after 03. I was in the minority that wanted to keep the Tennessee and auburn games there forever but no matter we never had a "final" game there and we should have.
We never got to say bye to the old lady and she deserved better than that.
Tear away jerseys.

That sounds exciting. Listening in unison for scores. Sad we didn't have that.

"Calling the Dawgs" cheer before and during games, and yelling, "Dawg Food" at opponents when they took the field. Don't hear them anymore.

First home game of the season LSU freshmen wore their PJs to the game.

Of course it's probably too damn hot for the first home game now, since the seasons start early in September...but that could make for some interesting situations if it were revived: imagine dozens of drunken 18 year old co-eds in negligees at a night game in Red Stick...the mind reels

We do it on the other end zone on the big games. There is an old athletic trainer in our section who has a meltdown each time and tries to get the ball so he can throw it back on the field.

Parading Mike the Tiger around Tiger Stadium, and parking him outside the visitors locker room before kickoff. frick PETA.

Not so fast my friend, We still did it for the last time in 1967! It was also the last time that freshman got their hair cut off. About half got their hair cut but the others protested it and didn’t.
