only college bball allows 68 teams into a national championship deciding tourney. lol

you'd think the regular season wud be used to narrow the field a lot more than that lol

I don't understand how you instantly shite on a fan base after losing a big game. This is probably a once in a lifetime chance for SCAR fans, and you come on here acting like a complete abortion. Piss off dude

Heartbreaking loss, but so so proud of the Gamecocks. Outstanding season, and hopefully it paves the way to a fantastic future of basketball successes.....

Absolutely. I ain't gonna lie..it hurts like a bitch, but it in no way negates how proud I am of our team and their heart, grit, determination, and refusal to listen to the noise about how we didn't belong or deserve to be there.

I especially hate it for our seniors, Thornwell in particular. One thing for sure, though....now that we have a taste of what this is like, I believe we're all addicted.

Congrats to the Zags and I hope they go on to win it all. They are one helluva team and they deserve it.

On to winning the Women's title tomorrow night.

you are a liar. i was the only one on here who thought SC still had a shot to win the game when they were down 14 and a few minutes later the game was tied.

i will say Cocks got two really bad calls go their way at the end so i'm glad Zaga overcame that.

Only in college basketball do people celebrate almost winning a championship.

So baseball teams don't celebrate getting to Omaha, and football teams don't celebrate winning bowl games even if they don't win the championship?

crazy that SC got 6 more offensive rebounds than Zags given Zag's size advantage.

COcks only shot 37 percent but were in the game. only 5 turnovers.

Only college basketball has 351 teams in division I, so it kind of makes sense they have more in the tournament than other sports. Not too bright are you?

i disagree with you, i think regular season should narrow field down much more.

right now teams from weak conferences that have losing records can make it if they win their conference tourney.

They allow 68 teams in the tournament because College Basketball is very different than Football. It takes a lot less money, resources, and history to field a competitive basketball team, so it's not fair to filter out teams because they are in a low-tier conference, which is what happens regularly in the CFB world.

And right now a team can go undefeated in a weak conference and not have a chance at a football title. Unlike football, everyone has a chance to play for the title in basketball if they win their way in thanks to letting conference tournament winners in.
