It was a close game, which I think was impressive because Gonzaga seemed pretty dominant throughout. Y'all fought like hell until the bitter end. Ultimately some questionable coaching calls lost you the game, but that's life. You can claim the "Best B-Ball team in the 2017 SEC" because you clearly are.

Hell no, a-hole. Every State fan out there wants to whack the gumps almost as much as they do Ole Miss every season. They just hide it because it's usually not likely to happen. However, the liquor has told me it's happening this season, so I'm going to shout it from the rooftops for months until it happens.

IMO, this game will be harder for MSU than the UConn game was. We had no expectations or pressure to win against UConn. The pressure is on now. That being said, after seeing our ladies do what most of the country thought was impossible, I think mental fortitude will come in handy this game. I can at least have confidence that they won't be rattled due to the significance of competing for a national championship.

I agree, but it's just the way that it goes. They were clearly outmatched talent wise, and the fact that they were able to keep it as close as they did is very commendable. Martin has proved beyond a reasonable doubt he is a great coach just for that.

The ESPN and Ref bias towards UConn probably made every member of the REC green with envy. It's beyond ridiculous and was way too obvious. I'm glad we can have a Natty game without this bullshite.

I said this in my thread that got whacked, but I'll restate it because it's the truth:
Alabama should be on the top of this list because their shot at Atlanta and the Natty ends this year in Davis Wade. Saban will "retire" at the end of this season accordingly. Mississippi State may only have 2 wins this season, but rest assured they will at least beat Bama and Ole Miss.
Edit: And we will beat Kentucky as well. frick those blue bastards for ending our best winning streak.

This game is an awesome story IMO. South Carolina beat us during regular season and snatched away the conference title we had been eyeballing. We've been playing hot during postseason and did the unthinkable and put an end to UConn's reign of terror. MSU will be seeking revenge but may also be hotheaded and arrogant due to recent success. South Carolina also has a lot to prove due to getting their asses handed to them on a national stage by Gonzaga in the men's tournament. They're going to feel a need to make up for that.
Should be a great game, but I stand by my bracket.

They got further in the tournament than any other team. Arkansas didn't even make a case for being there.
