This isn't hard...
Sheridan said his source is in the NCAA. This is what the NCAA said in their statement:
quote:
the NCAA has not provided information to Sheridan or anyone else
If you can't understand why that proves Sheridan is wrong, then you're beyond help.
So you actually think that the NCAA would come out and divulge they have someone leaking information to what most people think is a bookie. Talk about losing credibility. They even broke their own rule about not commenting on an ongoing investigation. And since they did comment on an ongoing investigation they could have just come out and said there is no investigation of AU concerning CN and that would have been the end of that. But I didn't hear that in anything they said.

But are they still investigated, were they even investigating? If there is nothing to it, not just Cam, I figured we would have heard a full release :wank: by now.

You are obviously doing "it" wrong. And by "it", I mean your life.

That's funny
Please explain what is funny. It's ironic that I happened to be watching the replay of UA vs. UF 2010 on WUOAD right now and Gary Danielson just said,"Remember, Alabama lost the bulk of their defensive talent from last year, so there is some real inexperience in this situation right now."
Also, I am not being biased at all with the Chiizk statement. His peers selected Steve Spurrier as COY. what other possible evidence is there to dispute my claim.
Please explain.

Then you obviously cannot read a depth chart.

but it shoots down Bama fans' most promising lead.
What exactly did it shut down? That they don't know who is giving him his info? I can't believe this is so hard for some of you to understand. The person who is leaking info to Sheridan (allegedly) isn't going to come out and say he's doing it. So how in the hell would the NCAA know if Sheridan actually has a source inside?
That being said, he should have never come out and said that's where he got his info. He definitely shouldn't have said,"Oh I know the bagman, but I can't tell anyone." That was just plain stupid.

And y'all lost 3 games last year. Which is how many Auburn will lose at minimum.

Spurrier also had a helluva season, and accomplished more with even less than Auburn had. You give USCe a competent QB and they woulda been undefeated. I won't argue that. Spurrier out coached a ton of people last year. So did Chizik/Gus.

If there is no bagman that the NCAA is trying to get to step forward.

Again.. where did the NCAA infer or state that there wasn't one and his information was incorrect? They didn't address that at all.

So, are you trying to say that the NCAA is saying there is no bagman in this statement? Because that's not at all what it says. And if there is no bagman, then there would be no investigation, and they would clarify that.
Posted on 8/26/11 at 7:36 pm to SohCahToa
I don't know if there is a bagman or not, nor do I care. Auburn fans are making it seem like this is some kind of huge victory, and they are completely off the hook after this release. It's quite stupid.

................................................................................................................................. come the frick on.
You ask how the NCAA would know if they had someone leaking information to him. They would know if there was no information to be leaked. If Sheridan's claims were completely devoid of actual NCAA knowledge. Could also explain why they asked him to come forward and share his knowledge.
I won't even address the rest of that.

No we're not. We are just laughing at the latest "ban hammer" that will leave Auburn in ruins go straight down the toilet.

This is only one brick in the ten thousand or so I'm using to build the pyramid of victory. At the end of it all our national championship season will be a whopping 15-0, with the last win being over the entire college football world.

Seriously, why is no one seeing that they broke the "no comment" policy because someone that works in the gambling industry is saying that the NCAA is giving them information and they want to put a stop to that rumor ASAP.
There are huge implications of the NCAA if they allow there to be "insider info" leaked to the gambling world. This isn't some off the cuff allegation that a sport bet man can make about the NCAA that the NCAA wouldn't investigate into and then make it known to the world that he is not getting any info at all from them.

Ross. Stop. Take a breath. Read the statement from the NCAA without bias and without wanting to discredit information. Where in that statement, does is say Sheridan is not correct with any information he could have? Where does it state that he does not have an inside source? It says neither of things. As such, it was stupid of them to say anything at all. Just as it was of Sheridan to ever open his mouth about anything. It's not that difficult to understand that. Both sides are trying to read into both statements, from Sheridan and the NCAA when there hasn't really been anything said by either of them.
