And this justification by the NCAA is why Tennessee should get nailed and why Ohio State should get nailed.
tOSU will get a major for this one. I am just wondering if they do pull the Bama punishment out and hammer them for all the other things that have happened under tressel with nothing coming about. I believe they are investigating the car thing pretty hardcore.
I have said it before, I am very good friends with a few ex-tOSU f-ball players and the car thing is widely known. Just go grab a car till you want another or need a new tank of gas

Both AD's turned a blind eye to Tressel and Kiffin and publicly gave them full support when troubles came to light. The NCAA should hold them to the same standard. However, I don't expect it.
That was Bama's first major infraction since 1964, and they were absolutely hammered losing as many scholarships as they did, plus forfeiture of games.

*Do you really think AlerBama got all those severe punishments for the actual infraction..or was it simply payback for all the times they couldnt catch em?

They knew his dad was given permission to choose where he went to school. They knew his dad solicited money for his play. It's pretty clear cut that his dad acted as an agent on Cam's behalf, whether money was exchanged or not, he should have been ruled ineligible at ANY school Cecil had a part in choosing.
Why? There is no rule on the books that say it is illegal. No rules were broken. What part of loophole do you not understand?

I'm not gonna really get into this besides saying, Cam can deny all he wants, but honestly think about it. How could he have not known what his dad was doing? If he honestly and truly didn't know then sure, his dad did it on his own. But it's his DAD. And for how much they tout being so close to each other, I don't know how anyone can believe Cam was unaware of his Father's actions.
Unbelievable enough, my Dad (when I was a high school and college student) did all kinds of innocent, totally legal stuff THAT HE NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT.
But I'm sure if he had decided to do (or even did?) anything shady, that's EXACTLY the kind of stuff he would have been compelled by his conscience to tell me.

I thought under NCAA ruling he was eligible, but under SEC ruling, he "shouldn't" have been. That's how I took it. I might've been wrong though. Not sure.

I didn't. I answered your question
You are correct, I find it comical that any Auburn fan would bring up another programs shady alumni.
He. Didn't. Bring. Up.
YOU asked.
HE answered.
You: "Name me a shady MSU alumnus!"
Him: [insert name here]
You: "I FIND IT COMICAL THAT YOU WOULD BRING UP ANOTHER PROGRAMS SHADY ALUMNI!"
