The 5 strikes in the k zone that were called balls that allowed the base runner which tied the game... maybe I dunno

maybe that K zone is not accurate. it has been that way from day one. I wish they would take the box away and only show it on questionable calls.

I think the "K Zone" is simply there because a lot of folks that don't normally follow softball are watching and it gives some frame of reference for what is and isn't considered a strike. But like baseball, the actual strike zone is totally at the discretion of the home plate umpire. The guy calling the UGA-Auburn game was calling everything outside the k zone on the right hand side (whether it was against a lefty or righty) as a strike. It's just a matter of the ump being consistent (and, FWIW, the guy last night I thought was very fair in what he called)

AU pitcher is throwing an illegal pitch. Her left land lands outside that white line that is on longer visible. Should be a balk.
