Also can we stop bitching about homefield advantage. OU went on the road for Supers and won easily in a hositile Sec enviroment. Someone is always going to have homefield advantage if you moved it to another city.

She was gassed and only pitched above 7 innings once all year.

Gourley should have started, but she was also gassed.

OU could have did the same thing to her early that UF did to Parker today.

Hard to say, but going 17 innings and losing and having to play again the next day isn't a recipe for success.

But UF isn't going anywhere. Only losing 3 seniors with both Barnhill and Ocasio returning.

Florida was the best team in the nation, on a steady roll, especially when it mattered. Was scared to death of them. Oklahoma put it all together by the skin of their teeth and came out on top. What great games, great teams. That Florida pitcher that closed out the game is one of the best in the nation, if not the best. And she's hot.

Congrats to both teams!

Not really

Vanderbilt has no softball team.

If you moved it to Nashville it really would be fairly neutral being close to the ACC (Louisville) + B1G (Indiana) + B12 (Oklahoma) + SEC (Tennessee). The only conference with real distance issues would be the PAC. In addition the NCAA headquarters are straight up the interstate in Indianapolis.

Yep, surprising OU and Fla haven't faced off before. I think they will going forward.

I am not saying to move it, I am just stating that it is an advantage to OU. My whole thing is these two teams are really equal teams and very exciting to watch. OU just had the slightest advantage. Sooner girls should hold their heads high and Florida girls should too. If they announced that they would have a just for fun game tonight I would watch it. Of course I played for a sponsored softball co-ed travel team in college so I watch softball a lot.

OU and UF are the best softball programs period. OU was the better team this week. They are both great. When OU joins the SEC, the Pac-12 might as well just stop playing softball haha.

Any talk about a home field advantage is just stupid.

Congratulations to OU and UF for showing class and all that is great about sports.

People want to complain about home field advantage, but its crickets when the insane number of college football bowl games commence yearly in SEC country.

How many bowl games are played in Florida alone?

I'm new to following college softball

Is the CWS always in OU? How did that come to be?

WCWS, men are in Nebraska

Series in OKC, a short drive from Norman and in the state of Oklahoma

Started in Omaha with the men, then moved to CA when the PAC dominated, then to OKC where it is now.

It sounds like you are saying that the slightest advantage OU had was home field? Which in fact means that you are blaming home field? Stop it. Gator fans had the same opportunity as OU fans to make the trip, despite the distance. When you blame attendance, you are really blaming Gator fans for not showing up.

Both teams played their hearts out. Both teams deserved to win but there can only be one and OU made the plays when they had to. I was very amazed with both teams resiliency. That was some of the highest level of softball I've ever seen. There were so many opportunities to give up but both teams never quit. Nothing wrong with 2nd place in this one.

Think most Sooner fans do realize how fortunate we are to win. The talent and coaching from both teams is unreal. Anyone could of won either game 1 or 2 that's how close the games were. I expect it to be the same next season because our pitching isn't going away and with Floridas ace coming back not much will be stopping them from having a ultra high seed coming in.
