Auburn had 4 birdies on hole 17 to put them 3 shots clear of Charleston and past Georgia into a 3rd place tie with a couple holes left. UGA had 5 birdies on their 16th hole and is 2 shots in front of Charleston with one hole to go. Charleston is making a lot of pars. This regional is very tight.

All 4 AU golfers birdied 17... we should be in solid now.

Charleston with a bogey, but Georgia with 2 bogeys puts them up only 1 shot.

Charleston and Georgia both finishing on the front 9 which appears to be the harder finishing side.

A par each for Georgia and Charleston only leaves one player for each on hole 9 and Georgia maintains a one shot lead. Both golfers are in the top 15 for the tournament.

Georgia - Carter Loflin -5 in 15th place
Charleston - Nevill Ruiter -6 in 12th place

FWIW, Georgia can't choke it away because Loflin is tied for the high round of the day for Georgia at -1. So he can only help the cause. This Charleston player's score will count either way.

Meaning the Charleston player has to birdie.

Bama still trailing 5th place Duke by 2 shots and they are playing together and finishing on the front nine. With 3-6 holes left to play it should be a great finish. Both teams are playing well and making birdies.

OU is 30 ahead of cut line. If the 6th place team of 4 scored golfers each birdied all holes (8) they could gain 32 strikes and just pass OU.

I think its safe to lock OU in.

Anyone know where nationals are being held this year? OU and Arky traveled all the way to Oregon for their regional so anywhere else would be closer.

By the way Arky is now in 3rd 7 clear of 6th.

Bama now 3 shots out of 5th with not many opprtunities left. They are going to have to close very strong or hope that either Duke or Arky State blows up.

Not far from where I lived some time ago in Rancho XYZ. Yes, there are a lot of towns starting with Rancho in Cali

Wonder if OU flies straight down from Oregon

Not looking good for Bama. They've dropped to two below the cut line.

Some background on OU golf

Sooners on the precipice of a runaway victory at the Corvallis Regional. What Ryan Hybl has built doesn't get talked about enough.

* Will be OU's 6th Regional title under Hybl (2015, 2018, 2022, 2024, 2025, 2026)

* 15th consecutive season OU will advance to the NCAA Championships (2nd longest active streak in the nation)

So it looks like 12 SEC out of 30 total teams to compete for natty. Pretty good
