I've read in a few different places over the last couple of years that top recruits are questioned all of the time. I don't think it's that uncommon. The only thing they're acting on is that he changed high schools and his college choice.

It would be awesome if Rueben told the NCAA that Clemson offered him something

I knew two of them in the picture brooks used. That's the only time I've ever really gotten mad at something he posted.

hey actually interview a lot of kid (highly touted), randomly, every year, no matter who they committed to.

Usually after signing day to ask how the process was, etc. They don't just randomly interview kids in the middle of Summer before their senior year.

No thanks to your offer, but I'd take them up on it.

Truth is, big-time schools cheat, and most have been doing it so long and so well it's virtually untraceable. It would take a huge mistake by someone to leave enough evidence behind that the NCAA(with no subpoena power) could actually build a case against you.

That said, my theory is that the NCAA believes Cam was bought and paid for by AU, but it was done so carefully that there was no evidence. The NCAA may be on a witch hunt here, and if that's the case...this will not end well for AU. Trust us, we know. The NCAA had a grudge against Logan Young dating back to the 80's, and once they had Kramer and Fulmer working together to make a case against Alabama, the NCAA basically just rubber stamped their findings and gave Bama the harshest penalties since SMU. This will be interesting to follow...

Not exactly. Do you know how many fan allegations get sent in to the NCAA all the time? They don't investigate something unless they think they may have something.

Probably just bringing some new employees down to show them where they'll be spending their time over the next few years. While they're here might as well pop in on Reuben

If I was an Auburn fan I'd be nervous, first the whole thing with Jovon and now they are interviewing Reuben out of nowhere, the NCAA has to think something dirty is going on with Auburn.

It's not necessarily a non-story. We don't know everything. The timing is quite interesting.

Exactly what I was thinking.

It's amazing the mass amount of knowledge the common fans around here (looking like mostly 'bama fans in this thread) have about the inner-workings of the NCAA.

I'm half tempted to see if he can name our entire roster and backups. I bet he can.
