Did we ever get an explanation for why Lorio was fired in the middle of the season? We ain't talkin about the NFL here. Small town high school coaches don't get fired in the middle of the season unless they seriously screw up somehow.

Maybe he messed around with a cheerleader or something, but I would be very curious to hear an official explanation or report about his termination given his reputation in recruiting circles.

If I'm an LSU fan, I'm not sure I would be thrilled with the media and NCAA sniffing around Thibidoux. You better make sure Lorio has his closets cleaned 'cause there's no doubt which school he funnels recruits to or the lengths that he will go to for that. It's one thing to watch a shitstorm over something far removed, like Cam Newton or Terrelle Pryor. It's another thing to welcome a shitstorm in your own backyard. Auburn's capable of punching back. Just ask Gene Jelks.

Agree. A lot of high school coaches get paid to steer recruits. Lorio would be a "person of interest" if the NCAA is investigating Thibodaux. Then the fact he tried so hard to steer the top guys to LSU, failed, and was fired.

It's no big deal and no reason to get all sensative, I just thought it was a strange use of the popcorn gif. Maybe I don't understand the popcorn gifs, but I always assumed they meant, "Interesting post, I want to see where this thread goes." Page 8 just seems a little late for that.

I'm not sure how that post indicated sensitivity. You were the one who was all pissy that I was late to the party
